 Generally we're wearing a non waterproof glove because it gives you a little more ability to shed that warmth and to manage it. And so what we did is went back to the drawing board and said, we really like this, but how can we make it more specific to the user we're trying to serve? And so this is called the free ride season, which is specific to the U S market. And we built this directly out of Chris's feedback. So you can see the seams here are tucked inside the glove

 What needs do they have? Everyone uses gloves differently and has different preferences, different levels of warmth, all of those things. One of our proudest partnerships is with PSIA and AASI, and we worked with a lot of instructors. And so after one of our meetings a few years back, Chris Rogers of Vale came to us and said, hey guys, I'm a snowboarder. I love your gloves, but there are a few things on the fall line, which I wear, this model, that I would change

 And then the last piece is C-Zone is Hestra's waterproofing membrane. So it's waterproof and breathable. And we put that in the glove just to give us an extra layer of protection for those snowboarders who have their hands in the snow. We love to see those fingers dragging in the snow, especially on powder days, but this is a very good microcosm of how we take gloves and evolve them over time for certain users

 And so the next logical progression is to add something else. So while we love goat leather, we also love, or love cowhide, we also love goat leather, which you see in our heli series, our patrol series, goat is really one of our favorite materials to work with. And so this year the progression was to find a way to tan that without crumbs or dyes. And you'll see this is more of an almond color than the yellow that we see in the cowhide

Disappointing

Good quality

Warm and I love the elastic wrist bands and the leather is flexible and grippy. I struggled to determine my hand circumference, and I chose the Small which was still a bit large for my short fingers. All this glove needs is an ice scraper. My mountain hardware gloves had this and it was crucial if your skiing on the east coast where sleet/mix is more common than the fluffy stuff

Awesome, but missing one feature...

 I wound up getting a good fit with a size 13. For those that complain about the gloves being cold, I bet it’s because they are too tight. Gloves need some space between them and the hand tp provide warmth

 We purchased waterproofing wax to help with that. Also you need to use leather balm to treat the leather. Small packet for 1st use was included.
