The Hisense 65U6G is the best 65 inch budget TV we've tested. It's a great 4k TV whose picture quality rivals higher-end and more expensive options. Although you won't get the same features as premium TVs, like HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, it's versatile enough for watching sports, TV shows, and movies in SDR and HDR. It performs well both in bright and dark environments as it has decent reflection handling, gets bright, and displays deep blacks in dark rooms.

The built-in Android TV is also easy-to-use, and there are many apps you can download through the Google Play Store. Sadly, it doesn't have eARC support, so you can't connect a receiver and pass high-quality Dolby Atmos and DTS:X signals to it, which is disappointing if you want to use it in a home theater setup.

The 5 Best 4k TVs Under $1,000 - Spring 2022

 Having Dolby Atmos is a joke on TV speakers but I'd say they're decent all things considered.  Overall it's not a bad TV. I certainly wouldn't buy it if it were more expensive, but considering how cheap it is, I'd still say give it a go if you're on the fence. Just be aware of the caveats before you dive in

  Then I decided to pair the two Hisense voice remotes with two of my current Roku TV's and they worked immediately.  So the Hisense voice remotes have an issue with their own TV.  Ultimately, I'm satisfied just using a standard Roku remote for this TV.

Good TV . . . with a caveat

 Toggle wifi on TV , change network(and5G) , power cycle TV via cord, and power cycle router . The TV reports the wifi failure is authentication every time. Not sure how that is possible?

Long story short if we need another TV in the future my husband will be looking again at Hisense as it's been a surprise how it looks and sounds. Yes it is cheaper made but for some little annoyances you end up saving say $600 over a Samsung or Sony in same size.

Great Bang for Buck, some issues persist

When it comes to larger purchases for the house I'm a bit of a researcher. I did some substantial compare and contrast when looking for a new tv for our bedroom and narrowed it down to a Hisense.  I'm very glad I came across the site that recommended this model. It wasn't quite the size I was looking for and it was not the newest edition to their line but the reviews were super consistent with very few negatives so I gave it a shot

  After all the work of picking the "right one" comes a bit of trepidation/doubt for me until I get it set up and plugged in. I've got to say all things considered I'm very happy with the purchase and have experienced no buyers remorse.  I only give it 4 stars because the user interface is not very friendly nor intuitive.  We only use it for our streaming services so after turning the set on it needs to "woken up" (I hit the "Prime button to do this) and then I need to change the input to our fire stick

It's a minimal inconvenience and one I might even be able to eliminate it if I spent an hour messing with settings.  I'm not exactly sure how that would happen as there are no on screen instructions and I don't feel like scouring the net for trouble shooting advice from other frustrated users but perhaps one day it'll seem like a good use of time
