The best LED TV we've tested in the budget category is the Hisense U6H. It's an entry-level 4k TV that delivers great performance overall, with very good picture quality and a great selection of extra features. The built-in Google TV smart interface is user-friendly and has a ton of apps available through the Google Play Store. It's not as feature-rich as the Hisense U8H or the Samsung QN90B QLED, as it lacks any advanced gaming features like FreeSync or HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, so it doesn't support 4k @ 120Hz gaming with the new-gen consoles.

It's a well-rounded TV with a VA panel that displays deep blacks when viewed in a dark room. It has fantastic black uniformity, and the full-array local dimming feature does a decent job of improving the picture quality in dark scenes. If you want to use it for watching HDR content, it supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10+, so you don't have to worry about which format your content is in before streaming it, and it displays a wide color gamut. It has okay peak brightness in HDR, but some highlights don't stand out as the creator intended.

The best budget 4k TV we've tested is the Hisense U6H. It's a great TV overall, and even though it's a bit less feature-packed than the Hisense U8H, it still delivers great picture quality. As expected from a budget-friendly model, you won't get some of the extra gaming features you'll find on higher-end models like FreeSync or HDMI 2.1 bandwidth. It's a great choice for both well-lit and dark rooms. It has great peak brightness, enough to fight glare in bright rooms, and has decent reflection handling. Even in a dark room, its VA panel displays deep blacks with fantastic black uniformity, and the full-array local dimming feature helps improve the picture quality in dark scenes, but the local dimming isn't as good.

It still comes with the same Google TV interface that lets you easily stream your favorite content, and the remote has a built-in mic that lets you search for movies and shows, open apps, and switch inputs. The TV is also available in a wide range of sizes, so you can get the one that suits your setup the most.

The best budget TV for watching movies that we've tested is the Hisense U6H. Despite its budget price tag, it delivers a great movie-watching experience in a dark room thanks to its high contrast ratio and decent local dimming feature. HDR movies don't stand out as well as they should due to the lower peak brightness compared to the more expensive models on this list, but they still look good. Like the Hisense U8H, it has wide support for multiple formats, including HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, ensuring you get the best HDR experience possible with your new TV regardless of which source you choose.

By going with a budget model, you're sacrificing a few things, though. It has worse audio quality if you choose to use the built-in speakers, but it supports eARC and advanced audio formats like DTS:X, so you'll enjoy much better sound if you have even a basic soundbar or home theater receiver. It also has worse signal processing than more expensive models, so there's some banding in areas of similar color, like gradients in a sky scene.

The Hisense U6H is the best HDR TV we've tested in the budget category. It's very good for watching HDR movies and delivers excellent picture quality that rivals some more expensive options. It displays deep blacks in dark rooms thanks to its high native contrast ratio, and the full-array local dimming feature does a decent job at improving the contrast in dark scenes, but it's not as effective as the Mini LED backlight on the Hisense U8H.

Its HDR brightness is okay, but bright highlights in some scenes don't pop as much as they should, which is one of the main downsides of watching HDR content on a budget-friendly model. It displays a wide color gamut with fantastic coverage of the DCI-P3 color space used in most HDR content. Compared to the more expensive models on this list, it has worse processing overall, so there's some banding with darker shades that you'll notice in scenes with similar colors, like shots of the sky.

The best TV for bright room viewing in the budget category is the Hisense U6H. Stepping down from the Hisense U8H, it loses the Mini LED backlight and doesn't get anywhere near as bright, but it's still a good choice for a bright room. It has good peak brightness and good reflection handling, so it's best suited for a moderately-lit room. Stepping down to a budget model brings a few limitations, especially for gamers, as it's limited to a 60Hz refresh rate and doesn't support HDMI 2.1 bandwidth. It's still a great gaming TV, with low input lag and variable refresh rate support.

It upscales lower-resolution content, like DVDs or cable TV channels, well, with no noticeable issues. It's good for watching your favorite shows during the day, but it has a narrow viewing angle, so it's best enjoyed from directly in front. Like the Hisense U8H, it runs the Google TV 11 smart interface, which has a great selection of streaming apps and is easy to use. It also has a great selection of smart features, including hands-free voice control that you can use to find your favorite content, search for apps, or even find the remote if you've misplaced it.

The best budget smart TV we've tested is the Hisense U6H. It doesn't break the bank and offers surprisingly good picture quality in both dark and bright rooms. Like the Hisense U8H, it's part of Hisense's 2022 ULED lineup, but it's an entry-level model with worse picture quality than the U8H. It still looks good, with good peak brightness, excellent contrast, and a decent local dimming feature to improve dark room performance.

It runs the same great smart interface as the U8H, so there's a great selection of streaming apps available for download. It has a slightly different design and more accessibility features, and you get the same user-friendly interface that Android TV was known for. It comes with a simple remote, and there's a mic both in the remote and built into the TV, meaning you can easily stream your favorite content by saying a few voice commands.

While you'll need to get a high-end TV if you want the brightest display possible, there are a few good budget models for outdoor use if you want to save some money. That's the case with the Hisense U6H, a lower-end version of the Hisense U8H. Considering its lower price point, it doesn't get as bright and has worse reflection handling, but both are still good. It isn't bright enough to fight glare from intense sunlight, but it's fine if you have it under the shade. It comes with the same easy-to-use Google TV interface and doesn't have any problems upscaling lower-resolution content if the stuff you watch isn't in 4k.

The downside to a budget TV is that its speakers lack any bass, but they get loud and have a fairly well-balanced sound profile, which is good enough to watch shows or sports, but you might want a soundbar for watching movies. It has decent build quality, but like the U8H and the Samsung QN90B QLED, you'll have to protect it from the elements as it isn't designed to stay outdoors.

If you're looking for something on a budget, then the Hisense U6H is a very good choice. For TVs in this price range, you aren't getting the same picture quality as higher-end models like the Hisense U8H, and it doesn't have as many gaming features either, but that's fine if you're just watching content. It comes with the latest version of the Google TV platform, so you get a ton of apps available to download, and the mics on the remote and built into the TV give you access to Google Assistant and Alexa, making it easy to stream your favorite content. If you aren't a fan of HDR content, the Hisense U6GR is a similar TV that uses Roku, but it's older and a bit harder to find.

In terms of picture quality, it also has a high native contrast ratio like the U8H, and while its local dimming feature isn't as good, it's still decent enough to provide a good dark room experience. Even in most well-lit rooms, it gets bright enough to fight glare, and the reflection handling is good. The best budget TV we've tested is the Hisense U6H. It's a very good overall TV that offers great value for its cost, and it has features and performance that some more expensive options can't match. It's available in a wide range of sizes, from 50 to 75 inches, and all the sizes offer the same performance, except for the 75-inch model, which has a different panel type with worse picture quality. It's a great TV for watching movies as it has a high native contrast ratio and it has a decent local dimming feature to further improve the black levels. Even for watching HDR content, it displays a wide range of colors and has okay peak brightness, but as expected for a budget TV, not all highlights pop.

As for watching content in well-lit rooms, it doesn't have issues getting bright enough to fight glare, and the reflection handling is good, so visibility isn't a problem. If you watch your favorite shows from a cable box, it doesn't have any issues upscaling lower-resolution content, and if you want to stream stuff, the built-in Google TV interface is easy to use and has a ton of apps you can download.

The best budget flat screen TV we've tested is the Hisense U6H. It's a great TV for most uses, with excellent contrast, outstanding black uniformity, and a decent local dimming feature, meaning it looks great in a dark room as blacks look deep and uniform, but there's more blooming than the Mini LED backlight of the Hisense U8H. It has decent reflection handling and is plenty bright enough to overcome glare in a bright room. It has impressive upscaling with lower-resolution content, has great gradient handling, and can display a very good wide color gamut.

It's an impressive gaming TV with a great response time, resulting in clear motion with just a bit of blur behind fast-moving objects. It has low input lag for a responsive gaming experience. Unlike the more expensive models on this list, like the Hisense U8H, it's limited to a 60Hz refresh rate and doesn't support advanced gaming features like variable refresh rates or HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, so it's better suited for casual gamers that prefer impressive visuals over the best motion handling.

The best budget QLED TV we've tested is the Hisense U6H. It's a well-rounded option that offers better picture quality than some more expensive, high-end options. It displays a wide color gamut and has okay HDR peak brightness, so some highlights pop, but not all, which is somewhat normal for a budget TV. It's still great for watching HDR movies because it has a high native contrast ratio that displays deep blacks.

The full-array local dimming feature is decent at improving the picture quality in dark scenes. There's minimal blooming around bright objects, but it's not as good as the Mini LED features on the Hisense U8H and the Samsung QN90B QLED. Like the higher-end Hisense U8H, the U6H also runs the latest Google TV smart interface, and it supports hands-free voice control through either the Google Assistant or Alexa to quickly open your favorite apps or search for content.

If you're on a tighter budget, then a TV like the Hisense 65U6H is a very good choice for your needs. It sits lower in the Hisense lineup than the Hisense U8H, so it's missing out on a few features and is a clear step-down in performance, but that's what you can expect if you want to save some money. It still has an excellent contrast ratio and good black uniformity, and its local dimming feature is good enough to use for a satisfying experience while watching content in dark rooms. However, you'll notice that the blacks aren't as good. It also has good reflection handling and good peak brightness for use in a well-lit room.

Despite its budget cost, it has fantastic out-of-the-box accuracy, so you won't have to worry about getting it calibrated if you want to enjoy an accurate image with life-like colors. It has a few more features than its predecessor, the Hisense U6G, like eARC support if you want to connect a soundbar, but even if it's a bit of a downgrade in performance compared to the U6G, it's easier to find if you're looking for a 65-inch TV.

But as of this filming, that's the current price We'll put links down below if you want to check out what the current pricing is and for that price what you're getting out Of the set we're generally pretty surprising. I did not come in and all fairness with like sky-high High expectations the picture here is bright colors were vibrant and they looked like it now You're not gonna get deep black levels. Obviously like something you'd get from an OLED panel This is still using traditional LED technology So black is going to be some version of dark gray But high sense did to their credit at full array local dimming to the set So you're gonna get better contrast than what might come out of other LED sets

 But if you keep it past a hundred days, I'll give you a hundred bucks now There's some details to qualify and that kind of stuff But all the information will be down in the description but hundred bucks a great deal I think it tells you a lot about how confident they are in the set They just want to get these sets in homes people can actually see for themselves How good it looks part of what I think makes Hisense so confident in this TV. It's again premium TV features I mentioned at the beginning and they don't stop with a picture quality One of the more interesting things you have with this TV is called game zone If you have a console or PC hooked up to the TV you can pull up a menu They'll tell you what frame rate the game is in. It's an HDR if it's picking up VR If auto the latency is on it takes the guesswork out of wondering whether or not your games are running and looking their best now This TV does not have 120 Hertz refresh rate. It is capped at 60

 Hello guys, Jolster here, so behind me I have the brand new Hisense U6H 4K TV. I have the 65 inch version but it is also available in 50, 55 and up to 75 inches. The Hisense 6 series is the entry level model but it also comes with high end features like Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, Quantum Dot, Full Array Local Deeming and Hisense's own ULED technology which enhances colors, contrast, brightness and motion. Now in addition, Hisense is using the new Google TV operating system

 You can navigate through all this information here and if we go back right here on the bottom, the first row is going to be like suggestions or top picks for you. Then we have your applications right here, the most popular ones, Netflix, YouTube, Prime, Disney Plus, HBO Max. I mean you have plenty of selection or you can also see all the rest of the settings right here and you can just rearrange them the way you want it. It's very easy to use, it's very intuitive and it's also very responsive which is nice

 Love the Google TV interface, very easy to setup and sign into my streaming apps. Oddly Youtube TV is buried in the apps section and you have go to all apps and then hold the OK button down to reorder things so that the apps you want show up on the google tv main page. Picture is great for the price, especially since I am coming from an older LG Plasma that isn't 4k.  The second tv though

The tale of 2 tv's

 You can see a lot of information coming in from these dots right here. So it's going to be very bright, and the motion on it is pretty good, but let's test that. So when it comes to motion, you can see the top layer. It's actually getting a little bit of zigzag right there, but let's go into the menu under the picture settings, go down here to the bottom where it shows advanced settings, and we can look at the motion

 Overall, the bezels are pretty thin on this television that goes around the top, over to the side, and if you look at the bottom here, it has more of a gray plastic kind of look to it with the Hisense logo in the center. And one thing I do want to point out is that this TV has Google TV, and down here at the bottom, there's two microphones, a touch for the power, some sensors, but there's a microphone that stays on. Now the interesting thing, if you turn the microphone off, you'll see these little LEDs that you can't get rid of until you turn it back on. So if you get a TV like this and don't want to use Google Command, you definitely want to make sure that you put a piece of tape or something over it

 So one thing about this TV has this nice little smooth finish on the top. It has an indenture right here, and there's a power input over on this side. Now there's some screw holes, so you can mount it on the wall, and over here we have all of the input, so let's go over that. So first of all, it does have a service port, so if a technician comes out, they can plug in their equipment right there on the top

No, I know that it's not but if you're just sitting back watching something It's a really good set. So now because this is LED You will see the picture fade a bit as your viewing angle goes more to the side So if you get like the bad spot on the couch I'm basically every TV does that except OLED so probably nothing new here But at least bear it in mind if you look at the TV straight on though or a little bit off We're gonna get a really good You can see a big difference in the brightness on the set between SDR and HDR content So you play like anything HDR push the brightness of 600 nits Which is plenty for bright really even rooms with like direct sunlight coming in Overall, I was really impressed with the picture quality that the set was able to produce especially for its price and speaking of price Talk about this in the intro

 It's the Hisense U6H quantum ULED 4k TV It's a mouthful But it's trying to prove that you don't need to spend just all the money to get an incredible TV set and Hisense is actually so Confident they're willing to put their money where their mouth is and kind of pay you to buy one of their TVs But I'll get there All right, so maybe you've heard of Hisense maybe not they've been in the TV game for a while Like I mentioned they traditionally sort of put out TVs that are more on the budgetary side And as the years have gone on their tech has continued to improve all while keeping for those lower prices Especially compared to the competition. So this guy the U6H continues that story You're getting a lot of the features you see in higher-end TVs in a more affordable package So you're getting things like quantum dot layer 4k upscaling Dedicated game modes HDR Dolby vision full array local dimming smart assistant I'm not sure I've seen this one before on a TV that can remember a built-in web browser All in a package at least in 65 inch variants that I have behind me for under 700 bucks Obviously pricing with TVs is like all over the board and changes seemingly daily Right holiday time probably see these things for even cheaper.  Noticeable dark background compared to the other LED TV's we own. The main concern is that the TV has locked up, not responsive to any remote control commands, twice in 15 days of use. The first time occurred during initial configuration and I used the reset button on the side to clear the problem. 15 days later it locked up when I tried to change from one station to another while using Hulu
