 For a company to proudly advertise Made in the USA on its shipping box, they sure did embarrass themselves by placing a cheap Made in China cover on this board. The price point would have been acceptable had homz Durabilt included a better cover and leg caps like the ones pictured in the orange version. Before buying I specifically asked whether the Grey and Orange model were the same and was told it was by response from the manfucaturer. Clearly it is not

 Is it better than standard priced boards? Yes. However, shipping this with cheap leg caps that slide around and provide no grip stability is a huge disappointment! Furthermore, the cover is completely unusable and pathetically cheap.  Its much better quality than the toilet paper cover homz Durabilt shipped this with. The positive here is that the unit folds quite easily and raises and lowers effortlessly. How long it holds up is yet to be determined as I wanted to like this better and had high hopes I was buying the Rolls Royce of Ironing boards. Unfortunately, Rolls Royce has many qukirt control issues, so bad analogy here

  I am additionally very disappointed with what is supposed to be the thick board cover and lining. A 100% Cotton cover with double thick pad consisting of 1/4" Polyester fiber and 1/4" Polyurethane foam Is what the description lists. No way. The double thick pad is a flimsy ⅛” at best and is more a woven, not foam, product

 Selected this one because of the height (great plus).. The item arrived yesterday - not well packaged, covered only in a plastic bag. Board has great width and plus for crafting project

one day and already disappointed

  Because of the flared legs I can no longer fit this board in my small sewing and quilting room. My old one was fine. The new one will fit in the hall way but then there is the same tripping problem when walking by. So that leaves the living room and that is a long way from where I am sewing

Trip risk

I just bought a second one of these but there are some things that could be better. The design is a good one in that the legs spread apart when you open it for stability and gold in for storage. The deck is made of very thin expanded metal mesh which is fairly flimsy—mine arrived somewhat mangled but I was able to beat it back into shape. The whole thing is heavy and cries out to be made of aluminum instead of steel

OK BUT THERE ARE ISSUES

.the cover and pad that came with it is so thin and cheap that the indentations of the metal grate of the ironing board show up on your clothes!! You would think for the exorbatant price that they charge for this ironing board, the LEAST they could do would be to provide a decent quality cover and pad. After spending over $100 for this ironing board, I had to turn around and buy ANOTHER cover & pad. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!
