Thank you for your great suggestions. I ended up choosing the HP Envy 15 with GTX 1660 TI graphics.

[USA] ~$1500 laptop, capable of gaming but doesn't stand out in a professional setting

  The weight and size are ideal to include the ten-key.  Camera/Mic/Speaker are adequate for Zoom/Teams calls; looks and sounds great - no additional equipment needed.

1) Envy x360 : AMD Ryzen 7, 16GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, 400 nits, slaps roof oh shit the hinge broke, damn hp

2) Zenbook Flip S : 11th Gen core i7, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 4k OLED screen, classic case of suffering from success, has everything and yet it benchmarks lower than i5's because elegance comes at a cost

3) Bezel bros 7 : 10th Gen i7, 16GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, costs as much as the Zenbook for some elusive reason, maybe because of Phat Bezel Technology ™

I am open to other suggestions.

Again for emphasis, I need good note taking capabilities, the dicks I draw better not be wobbly.

I quite like Laptop/Tablet hybrids, but this is not a definitive must.

Must have an SSD for quick start-up time and decent CPU, as well as a good screen (!). 13 inches or so would be ideal screen size.

Things I don't care about are audio/speaker quality, Microphone quality, LTE, or webcam quality.  

My dream laptop would be the HP Spectre 360 (but it's a bit out of my price range). I also dig the Asus Zenbook Pro, Lenovo Yoga and Windows Surface Go 2, just to give you an idea of the style I'm looking for.

Any recommendations?

Sleek Travel laptop under 800USD

HP Omen 15 (if you want some more gaming/hardware power... you can try to find it on sale for around $1000/1100)

Time to replace an old workhorse and there are Too. Many. Options. Coming from a ThinkPad T420 and use primarily for work (Office) and browsing. No gaming. Sometimes a lot of open tabs. Love the ThinkPad keyboard and am leaning toward just sticking with what I know and grabbing a T490s or X1 Carbon, but...it's also not the most exciting choice. Would like to see if there's anything comparable with a great keyboard, a nice screen that makes reading text easy, and ideally something with a black chassis--basically a less "serious" version of a ThinkPad. (Not a fan of white or silver--I really, really prefer all-black.) Do not want a touch screen or a detachable keyboard, so 2-1s are not my thing.

And yes, I will Paypal $25 to anyone who makes a suggestion that leads to a purchase, but what I'm looking for might not exist. Gonna give it a shot anyway.
