But it's really hard for me to recommend this in 2021 when you look at it as a new device for around $450, that's what I've seen on eBay.

In my despair, I bought from a chinese store last year a Huawei Mediapad M6 Turbo 8.4" LTE (2560x1600 screen, Kirin 980 CPU, 6GB Ram) with google playstore/services preinstalled and use it daily as a daily driver together with my Samsung S9 phone. Since I can do phone calls from either device using the tablet as an oversized phone (with bluetooth headphones) has become quite handy. I prefer the 8" tablet size because its the max formfactor that can be clasped with the fingers of my hand when holding whereas a 10" tablet can only be held on the edge which makes it often awkward to use when on the move.

it's perfectly fine for most tasks and this is a minor nitpick to me. All in all, I would say the mediapad M6 is probably much more powerful. On paper the S6 lite is closer to the M3 or M5 specs wise. GPU is similar to the M3 on paper but it does feel much more powerful in practice.

I love it. And it's replacing my previous precious which was a Huawei mediapad M6 8.4 Turbo. Both Chinese exports but work perfectly in English.

* Good battery life and SOT (I have weeks where I only use the tablet to read comics on the train without turning wifi on once so it would be nice to have to charge as less as possible cause I usually forget to recharge). * Solid case. * max 11" Screen (I would love an 8" tablet again but the market is meh). * Fast an reliable (I wan't to use it for work more frequently), 6GB RAM.
