The Huffy Moto X is a nostalgic, throwback bike you might remember from your youth. There isn't much to dislike about this bike, and compared to the competition, it fared well. We imagine some kids won't like the number plate, but this accessory is optional and easy to skip. We think this is a good option for parents on a budget or looking for something with a handbrake for prepping for future bikes.

 The chain guard durability is an issue with other Huffy kids bikes as well. My younger son has a 12-inch Huffy and the chain guard on his bike is completely broken off.

 The chain guard itself is made of a flimsy plastic that started to break apart after only a few weeks. I would just remove what's left, but I'm worried about a pant cuff or shoelace getting caught in the chain and causing injury. The bike does not come with a kickstand. I knew this when I ordered it, but wanted to wait until I had the bike to get a kickstand to make sure it would fit

Fine while it lasted...

 Just have to attach the handle bar, seat, and training wheels. Training wheels didn't fit into the socket its supposed to go, just use channel locks to bend the metal a little and it will click in.  It is still possible for the child to fall though. So be aware

 My kids both have gotten hurt over and over as well. At this point, after re-building many times, the nuts are starting to strip. The company has sent me a replacement interior collar, as one of the ones in my daughter's bike was missing a ball bearing. But it doesn't matter, the replacements break as well

Don't buy this bike. It will make you and your kids sad with its constant breaking.

This whole concept of "Huffy Quick Assembly" is questionable. I consider myself mechanically inclined and have put together many things over the years but this thing was not good. For starters whoever assembled the front brake at the factory didn't do it right and the tension cable didn't have the end cap to prevent the cable from getting frayed like the directions showed. I tried my best to readjust the brake but it didn't work properly

 When putting on the handlebars the entire frame was loose and the internal piece the bars screw to came out. The seat locking system is ok but I question if it will hold up to constant riding. My 4 year old was devastated when I told him this bike isn't safe and we'd have to get something different. I wouldn't trust this thing with your child
