I'm really disappointed in the lids they offer. I paid $40 for a 32 oz bottle and the lid leaked, which required me to order a replacement via warranty. I also ordered a flip top and straw lid from their website, which were both disappointing for different reasons. The flip top opening is too narrow to allow the volume of liquid flow I prefer and the straw lid allows the liquid to drop halfway down the straw between drinks, causing me to get a mouthful of air with every drink

I was suckered in by the brand name hype

 A bit pricey since you're paying for brand name, so unfortunately I won't be repurchasing. I'll be getting a takeya soon to replace my hydro (size is a bit too small for me), so I'll update this review to compare if I have the time.

 Even after weeks of putting this HF through extreme conditions and after being dropped on hard surfaces, it still insulates and although it may be slightly dented, it's still keeping my water cold. It takes a lickin' while I keep on sippin'! Definitely recommend.

 It's lightweight and has a great seal. Since these have a gasket, you do not need to tighten it much at all. The only issues I've seen from others are from over tightening which will cause it to leak. I've never experienced this issue by just using common sense

Hydro Flasks are my favorite water bottle ever, and I have gone through quite a few in my day. When I was on active duty in Hawaii, I used Camelbak Eddys for a long time, but they would sweat and leak, and wouldn't keep my water cold for long, even with an insulation sleeve. I went through probably 15 of them in the course of a year before I finally decided to bite the bullet and pay a premium for a Hydro Flask. What a mistake! Why didn't I buy one sooner! It kept my water cold all day even in Hawaiian summers, didn't leak, and didn't sweat, even on the most humid days

Best of all, it survived for over 3 years of abuse, both while in the military and afterwards

  While a Hydro Flask is a bigger initial investment than most other bottles, and though it is also fairly heavy, there isn't another bottle out there that will stand up to the abuse that a Hydro Flask can. It shrugged off all abuse for over 3 years, and could have done it for 3 more. I would recommend this to anyone who regularly carries a water bottle around, and also anyone who needs one for outdoors activities. One will last you ten times as long as a plastic bottle
