 They should have put one of those little clips that you push in and then it just clips out. Anyway, overall this is a great bass. Let me just kind of give you a couple of the tones out of this. I'm playing this just out of an Ampeg BA-115, which is a pretty decent amp, but it'll give you kind of the idea of these tones that we've got here

 You have to unscrew the back of this in order to get in there to replace the battery. So you're going to need to keep a Phillips head screwdriver in your bag or in your case just in case you need to replace the battery to be able to access this. They should have put one of those little clips that you push in and then it just clips out. Anyway, overall this is a great bass

 It doesn't have two separate knobs, volume knobs for each one of these. It's just, this is your neck and then your bridge. Okay, then these three guys down here is a 3-band EQ. And what that's going to do is you've got your low end here, your mid, and your treble

 And these guys also have a notch that you can feel right in the middle. So you can dial in the tone on this pretty well. So if you really want a real low end, you can crank this guy, lower the treble. And anyway, you can dial in your tone pretty well with the EQ here

 I mostly play In the middle of pickup there may be a little difference there But other than that, it's like the complete flat EQ from the bass itself So most of the sound is just the bass itself and the amp profiling no post editing for the bass track except like the volume control and Then yeah, there may be some guitars But I'll make sure that most of the low end is from the bass so Yeah, that's that's what's happening with this video I Thank you very much for watching this video, I hope you found some value from this and Hit thumbs up leave a comment Subscribe my channel for more content like this. HOW VERSATILE IS IBANEZ SR505?

I have the SR505E and I have zero complaints. I can get a wide variety of tones out of it and it sounds stellar.

Trying to decided between the Cort A5 Plus and Ibanez SR505

 The elixir strings that come with this bass will be bright when you first start to play it. A combination of breaking in the strings (i.e. play for a while on them) and more importantly, adjusting the EQ on the bass to roll off some of the highs, will resolve the brightness on these strings

The SR505 Delivers

 This is an active EQ, so we have boost and or cut, and there's quite a wide range of tones available in here for you. So there you have it. That's the Ibanez Soundgear SR-505E, and it's available now at AmericanMusical.com

 You don't have to stop playing. You can just flip this up and you will be good to go. You can play in passive mode. On the EQ, we have bass, middle, and treble controls, and then this is a three position mid-band switch that changes the center frequency of the mid-band sweep

 In terms of pickups, we have the Bartolini BH2s and then an Ibanez Custom 3-band EQ. Now, these features were all previously seen on higher-end models, so these have been brought to the Soundgear line in this model, which is the SR-505E. I'm just going to take you through the controls on the bass right now. This is a master volume control

Advice for buying 5 string bass

I’ll echo everyone here and say yes! I have an SR505e I bought in 2020. Great mid-range bass, with amazing tone versatility for its price point.

I’m only 1 year into playing and thinking of upgrading. Looks like it has some good specs and is very versatile for an affordable price, so just searching for advice.

Is the Ibanez Sr500 any good

So, I started playing bass 4 or 5 months ago, and of course I'm only beginning and I'm not very good, but I am really enjoying my time and I find it very satisfying (when it sounds good). The thing is my bass is an used Harley Benton B-450 Black Progressive Series that I got at a really cheap price, and I find it quite frustrating because it doesn't feel very good, according to me but mostly to a friend of mine who is a bass teacher and played for 15+ years (And I tried one of his bass and it feels like an entirely different world). So I am looking for a new bass, something not too cheap but I don't think having a really expensive instrument would be a great idea (I'm still beginning \^\^'), so something in the range of 400-600 euros (I'm in France) where I won't feel too limited for some time and that I can have fun on for a few years. The thing is appart for the design, I don't know what to look for which characteristics I have to be aware of. I am planning to go to a music store to try some basses but I could take some advices on how to choose an instrument !

<p>UPDATE : Ok so I read all of your advices thank you all guys. What I&#39;m going to do is first try to learn how to do a basic setup myself and see how it goes on my bass, at least learning how to do it will be useful in the future and it doesn&#39;t cost much. Then if I still feel unsatisfied with what I have I&#39;ll go try some basses and see what fits me the most, I think that&#39;s the better compromise !</p>
