I recently got an inokim light 2 and absolutely love it. I am not planning on leaving it outside, however, in the unforseen event that someone tries to jump me for my scooter (big city life) I'd like to get it back if possible ... But I don't get how people discretely attach the devices.

IMHO, the two lightweight scooters with the best balance of range, weight and speed are the Inokim Light 2 and E-TWOW GT. They have slightly different pros and cons. Based on my experience as a Light 2 owner and posts on this subreddit, I'd say the Light 2 wins on build quality and has pneumatic tires which some (myself included) think give you a better ride. The E-TWOW has a slightly higher top speed and acceleration.

So my rating for the Inokim Light 2 for UK usage is 1/10. I know its not rated waterproof but I had been told by Inokim representatives that it is resistant and will handle damp roads etc which is the worst weather condition I'd ever use it in, the one time mentioned above where it got soaked was because I got off the train and it was just pissing down with rain so I decided to walk it to the bus stop and that's when error 22 occurred, not even from riding it in the rain, it just got wet while I was walking it. So my conclusion is that the Inokim Light 2 is only suitable for dry countries and that it is akin to riding a scooter shaped laptop or some other delicate technology.

Consider something like an eTwow or Inokim Light 2 that you can easily carry at 30lbs total weight yet are still reasonably peppy. The Mantis 8 and WideWheel are nice machines, but they're 50 - 60 lbs depending on the motor configuration. Also, don't forget they have airless tires. For some, that's a plus, but keep in mind they don't have as good a grip as pneumatic tires and a rougher ride.

Tbh here in the UK, the lowest I'd seen thr inokim light 2, from it'd RRP of 850, was about 680, and then it was back up to RRP. I just picked it up for 420 so just under half price. I feel like I did well as my previous was just entry level and I don't really have thousands to drop on a scooter. Thr UK is quite reasonable with black Friday and I'd be surprised to not see it go back to RRP in a month or so.
