 That said, while it is faster than the R7 1700, if we look at the overclocked results, we see that it only wins by a five percent margin. We find a similar story when testing with Adobe After Effects 2020, though this time the overclocked Ryzen 7 1700 processor is only able to match the stock 7700k. so this is a good example of an application that doesn't require or at least utilize more than a four core processor. As a result, the 7700k is comparable to the more modern processors, offering many more cores, but very little in the way of Ipc improvements

 The 8 core R7 1700, though, is in a completely different league for these core heavy workloads, and comparing the overclock configuration still sees the Amd processor win by an almost 50 margin. Of course, where Intel has excelled in the past is single core performance, and here the overclock 7 700k was almost 30 faster than the overclocked R7 1700.. Also, because Intel's just tacked on some extra calls with their latest few releases, the 7700k really is essentially a 9900k or 10 600k with a few less cores, and the single core results really do reflect that

We're going to take a closer look at the Core I7 7700k. the last of the quad-core hyper-threading enabled Core I7 processors. the 7th Gen Core Series codenamed Kb Lake, was first released back in early 2017, and the flagship Core I7 model. The 7700k commanded an asking price of 340 us

 Similar margins are also seen in Adobe Premiere Pro 2020, and here we see when comparing the Oc results, the R7 1700 was almost 30 faster. So, another solid result for the 8 core processor. the Adobe Photoshop 2020 results are a lot more mixed. and because this application doesn't really require or at least utilize core heavy processors very well, the 7700k looks quite good

i7-7700K first off very noticeably faster than my previous i5, I use this in my gaming build which I paired with an ASUS GTX 1080. Both are noticeably very fast out of the box I can play any game I throw at my pc now and have well over 100 fps even in modern games like Destiny 2, Battlefield 1 and even Fallout 4. The card even playing heavily demanding games never even touches 100% load and due to contrary belief keeps pretty cool temps while gaming, most games won't exceed it's usage of around 50% and with this it only gets 10*c hotter than my previous i5 which usually stayed around 45*c. Ran Prime95 when I first got the CPU just to see what everyone is talking about with the temps and it never even exceeded 66*c

7 stable within our temperature range. When it comes to testing, we're actually going to be testing the Core I7 at 7700 K against a bunch of previous Intel Core processors. So we're testing it against the core I7 6700 K the Core I7 5775 C the Core I7 4790k in the core I7 4770k Now for the Skylake chip is running on the exact same setup so AZ 170 set up exact same hardware and for the older processors, they're running on a Z97 system. The only thing that's different about that system is the memory and the motherboard

 As it stands, it is Intel's fastest mainstream processor before of course going to the high end desktop segment. So if you are building a new PC this is what I would recommend you're gonna see this week. There are a ton of awesome Z2 70 motherboards coming out so you have a lot to choose from. Also, you do get the new technologies like the support for Intel octane memory as well as the ability to decode 4k video from the internet

 So streaming 4k from Netflix will not be a problem. But if you are currently on Skylake or even has, well, there's not a major issue or like a major reason to really upgrade. Their performance is minimal and the performance boost that you get is only caused by the increase in speed of the actual processor. So again, if you're on those two architectures, it's really not a big thing to really upgrade

 This will allow you to stream content from providers like Netflix Ultra Fandango Now and many more. Overclocking on Cabie Lake is much like how we saw it on Skylight. So for a simple overclock, all you have to do is up your multiplier and change your CPU core voltage accordingly. Now because the of the refined 40 nanometer process, you're actually able to achieve higher overclock

Okay, I'll admit, I typically build with AMD. Not to start any flame wars here. AMD has their place. This build called for Intel, and I am more than impressed to say the least! This is easily the fastest computer I've ever built

 My customer wanted a VR Gaming Rig, and I delivered. MY goal was to build a capable system, that would outperform anything off the shelf, yet come in under budget, and have the power to handle whatever tasks they may ask of it next. I believe I achieved that, and this little beauty sits at the heart of that build. I'm very happy with it, and more importantly, my customer is happy

 I was able to boot Windows at 5GHz, but Prime95 proved it to be unstable. Perhaps if I had more time to play with it, and tune it, I could have made it stable. Either way, even with a simple motherboard one click overclock, this thing ROCKS.

 When using the overclocked version to put some perspective in the benchmarks, we can speak strictly to the synthetic test performance improvement, and that's approximately 13% in the physics testing, or 4.5% the total score. The 6700 K posts a score of 13 64, 8 for physics, or about 5.7 percent slower than the 7700 K at stock clocks and real-world terms
