I’ve been using IPVanish for a few months, and it’s been pretty good so far. Stable, reasonable speeds.

Yeah, pretty much just try and find a server Netflix or whatever streaming service you’re using doesn’t think is from a vpn. But I wouldn’t use ipvanish, they lied about being no logs in the past, I wouldn’t trust them.

So far, my service with them is faster, but I have read complaints about their service that I have not experienced. They do have a free version that doesn't have all the bells and whistles

This is the second incident in about a month. Before that, it has been more than a year since anything like this, and the first time ever that I have been told I need to contact a third party to restore service. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm hesitant to call this number.

Incidentally, I use qbittorrent with pia VPN. I have qbittorrent set to only use the VPN network interface (ie, tun0).

Cyberghost (3 year plan 2.25) surfshark (2 year plan ) which is better for pirating site's

IPVanish is my current VPN and has been for the last several years. I tried out a few free VPN services before migrating over to a paid service and I was never very impressed with them; even when using the 'best' free program, I still got a piracy warning from my internet provider lol. I'm sure there are other paid VPNs that are just as good or better than IPVanish but the moral of this story is: You literally get what you pay for.

I'm a total noob to VPNs in general, the most networking I've done is setting up personal Minecraft servers. I started reading this sub's wiki and even that was too jargon-y for my level.

I live in the Eastern US, and my ISP is AT&amp;T. 

The cost of the service should be as low as possible, free if possible.

A little help

So, yeah, VPN for downloading but especially for seeding in my experience.  I use IPVanish, but do your research.

The only two DCMA notices I got were for seeding a couple of the most modern movies.  After getting my hand slapped, I bought a VPN with a Kill Switch.
