I know you can’t get rid of pores but I’m wondering is there anyway to make them smaller? I use La Roche Posay products. They keep my acne mostly at bay but I feel like my pores are just so large. Part of it is genetic, but just wondering if there’s anything else I can do at home to help. Thanks!

First pistol, been saving a while, hope this wasn’t a mistake.

If you wanna stay closer to $500, I would recommend the Jericho 941 FS. It's closer to $550 new and based on the CZ platform. Very similar feel and heft, similar grips and sights as well. I have 2 CZ-75s and a Jericho

I'm finally able to purchase my first handgun after years of renting from the range. I'm not the best shot and kind of old fashioned and old school so I think I decided on a CZ 75 B Omega. Overall I was looking for something with a metal frame/body and a physical safety, because even though I have shot many times before, this is my first gun and I'm not an amazing shot. I don't want to spend too much money, and I think my price range is around $500-ish. The other recommendations from the range were Masada, Taurus, Sar, Sig Sauer P229, M&amp;P 9 Shield Plus, and a CZ 75 D Compact but in a steel frame. Does anyone have any other recommendations within $500, doesn't have to be 9mm, but any ammo that isn't expensive and probably won't get too expensive, I'm looking for just on the range, not to carry or really home defense)

Just came about a bit of extra money and looking to get my first hammer fired pistol. 

I found a good deal on r/gundeals for a Bersa TPR9c that is full ambi and is right in my price range.  Only problem is it seems holsters and aftermarket parts and grips are almost nonexistent. 

I was then recommended the Beretta PX4 Storm which I honestly hate the looks of and the fact it's a poly lower (nothing against poly just not what I want for this pistol).

Should I buy a 1911 as my first gun?

Hey everyone. Newbie shooter here looking for some advice/recommendations on a first firearm (or 2). Bit of background, I shot my first gun a few months ago, a Glock 44 with a friend who was over in the States from the UK. Since my .22 introduction, I’ve graduated to 9mm and was playing around with a Sig P320 and a Sig P226 Legion. Definitely preferred the feel of the P320 here. I took my CCW class last week and used a Glock 17 to do the practical part of the course. It was… ok. 

So here I am looking at a wide array of pieces to start my gun ownership. So far (and this is quite random, I grant) I’ve been looking at these fellas:

Home defense:
Sig P320 X-Five Legion (keep going back to this. Don’t know why, but I love the look of it)
Magnum Baby Eagle (I love Desert Eagles, but don’t think I’m experienced enough for one yet)

Carry:
Smith and Wesson M&amp;P 9 Shield EZ
Walter PPK/S .380 ACP (bit of a Bond fan, so this is clichéd) but not a 9mm Luger. 

Anything else I should be looking at? Going to see if I can put a few rounds through as many firearms as I can, to see what suits me. But I think I really am looking at no more than 9mm for now. Open to .380 ACP but think I prefer the 9mm. .22 is out though and not sure I want to graduate again to .45 ACP caliber. 

Your advice and tips would be welcome.
