I like reading and viewing a TON of reviews before purchasing headphones, and my current collection probably reflects that; the Jabra Elite 75t's and the HD 6XX are both fantastic at the purposes they serve. I use the Jabra's when I'm working out at the gym (when that was a possibility, RIP) and the 6XX's are paired with my Schiit Hel DAC/AMP when I'm on my PC. The Sony XM4's were basically the missing piece for me: I wanted wireless headphones with proper noise cancelling and a "good enough, fun" sound for my long weekday commutes. 

In terms of build quality and fit, the XM4's are really comfy for my rather large head, and didn't have any of the initial headache-inducing clamp force that my 6XX's had. They definitely aren't made with super-premium materials (the plastic does creak a bit) but they've got a matte finish that's pleasing and fingerprint-resistant.

The XM4's do suffer from a bit of feature bloat in my opinion, the Speak-to-chat and different ambience settings depending on your location were more annoying than anything and I turned them off almost immediately, preferring to activate noise cancelling with the press of a button instead. I also usually like physical buttons for play/pause, etc. but the touchpad on the right earcup is pretty accurate and responsive. I also didn't encounter any issues using it in cold weather, unlike with the XM3's. Battery life is also excellent, these last me all work week on a single charge, easily.

The XM4's definitely have a bass-focused sound, and combined with the pitfalls of Bluetooth audio you're not going to get audiophile quality from these cans. HOWEVER, with a good EQ profile they become a much more balanced, Harman-curve-esque headphone. I was able to dial in a sound with the Sony Headphones app that was personally very pleasing, even if it didn't have the same level of clarity as the HD 6XX. 

The real selling point for the Sony's is definitely that noise cancelling. It's second to none. Combined with the awesome battery life and pleasing sound, I'd say the XM4's complete my collection really well.

Added the Sony XM4's to my 'normie' collection

 Almost all of them agreed on the Jabra Elite 75t's, or at least gave an honorable nod to them, even if they didn't include it in their lineup of the best buds. So I thought I was locked in to something good, and I was very excited and hopeful. But, on the first day I was very disappointed. The earbuds almost did not fit at all, and fell out after a couple seconds

 I'm convinced its either bad design, or more likely I'm one of the 1% of people who this earbuds were never intended to fit. Either of those are not good answers to the problem I have experienced thus far. Overall, for me at least the Con's definitely outweigh the Pro's. I put more weight into comfort and fit, as mentioned, and I don't really care as much about the 'muddied' sound and honestly I could have given that a pass as well

 But the comfort, and fit, are both grossly lacking in these buds from what I've experienced so far. It is of my opinion presently that these earbuds are not for everyone, and perhaps particularly not for me. Again, I will update this review as events develop, and perhaps give it a better rating. I have also ordered a pair of buds from another brand, so I'm eager to compare the Jabra's I currently own with them

 If things don't work out, unfortunately I might need to return these earbuds if they still feel the same after a week or two (time will tell). In conclusion, I really wanted to like these buds, as I think they really do shine in more ways than one. However, it does currently seem that the features that I *was* looking for seem to be sorely lacking in these earbuds, so for now I have given it an average review - again, please don't hold it against me.

These Jabra elite 75t fit amazingly well. I can wear them for hours without adjusting them.

 The lows are almost not present - this is the single biggest thing to baffle me after having read in many places that they have some "punch" to them. These buds have almost no low-end, regardless of how you configure the Jabra sound profile in the companion app, and regardless of any other EQ you can adjust from your phone (if that's the source of your music). Tl;dr - don't buy these if your primary use is going to be listening to music. They're probably good for something like podcasts if you're doing listening-only, primarily

2ish is likely the version most likely being used by my devices these connect to. That said, the range is OK, not great; ANY interference by way of doors/walls/obstructions after a distance of about 10 ft will severely diminish the signal to the point where you won't be able to discern the audio you're hearing. I will kind of give kudos here for their ability to remain connected - even over a poor signal - but that's really moot if you can no longer hear anything because the audio has to travel through obstructions. To be clear here: this is not necessarily a hit against Jabra, so much as the nature of BT connectivity; it's just not very distance-friendly in general

 I will say that BT devices (namely, my laptop and phone) I've used to connect these to are v5.0 or earlier; I believe 4.2ish is likely the version most likely being used by my devices these connect to. I’ve only been running as a sport since March and have been using my three year old Dre powerbeats3. I run about five days a week. Today they gave out on me. From my research I think they’re beyond fixing. Flashing red and white while charging and they don’t turn on when not on the charger. So anyway, best long lasting wireless headphones?

 The 75t are comfortable enough for me to wear for hours. * The small charging case is pretty great. The case on the 65t was bigger, so big that I didn't want to carry it in my pocket. The 75t case is small enough to put in my pocket, and I love that it's constantly topping up my headphones throughout the day

 The previous model, the 65t, were just slightly too big and made my ears hurt after just 5–15 minutes. Same with other Bluetooth headphones. The 75t are comfortable enough for me to wear for hours. * The small charging case is pretty great

) * While trying to fix the above, I found out Jabra apparently doesn't have phone support for these. Seems like online (email?) only. Compare with other vendors, such as Plantronics or Apple, who do at least have M–F phone support. BTW, if you search around for people reporting problems, you will see some frequent problems, such as "left earbud stops working and I have to RMA"

Best earphones /headphones to run?

 It's a total crap shoot in terms of whether or not the buds and case will charge. Sometimes the buds charge when I put them in the case. Sometimes I put them in and close the lid and discover the next morning that they didn't charge at all. Same goes for the case

 They provide a level of detail that my cheaper true wireless buds absolutely do not. -They're small and light, which makes them comfortable. They don't budge once I put them in and I pretty much forget they're in my ears. They work just as well for a workout as at the office

Update: I’m adding a star because, despite expecting to return them, the Jabra Elite 7 Pros quit acting up not long after I posted my initial review. The initial takes are holding up in terms of comfort and sound quality but I haven’t been having charging issues. Good news! I still find myself reaching for the Sonys when sound quality is the priority, and I still think the XM4s are a better choice if I could only choose one. But I think these Jabras absolutely have a place for workouts and outdoor listening thanks to the form factor and solid IP rating

Buggy behavior harms what should be outstanding earbuds

Hey everyone, so I've been researching into different earbuds. Just for general use when I'm studying, walking from class building to class building, commuting, etc. I've checked several youtubers who review audio equipment, and even Rtings, but I want to use this subreddit as another source. Anyways, here's what I'm looking for:

Must-have features:
-Decent audio (I am by no means an audiophile, so basically anything that has decent enough audio that issues, like lack of mids/highs or anything like that, isn't detectable to an untrained ear)
-at least 5-8 hours of battery life on one charge 
-Under $200 without tax+shipping 
-Won't give up if I sweat, or get caught in rain, or because of high humidity when walking to different buildings on campus
-Windows 10 and iPhone compatible (pretty easy but felt like I should still put it here)
-Wont give out or have pairing issues after a couple of months to half a year of fair-to-moderate use 

Optional features, but it would be nice if it had them
-An EQ app
-Able to control the amount of ambient noise I can hear 
-Wireless charging pad compatible/comes with one already
-Has a decent selection of cases that make it so I can attach the case to a backpack, wallet, keychain, etc. so I don't lose it easily
-Comes in white or a light color
-more than one full charge capable 


Additional concerns:
I have looked at the Liberty Air 2s and the Galaxy Buds+ and I like both, but the Galaxy Buds+ seem to have more features I want. Thing is, I saw people have had issues where after about 2 months of use, an earbud gives out, and if you buy from Amazon, Samsung doesn't reimburse or replace or fix it for you?? I don't mind buying from the Samsung store itself but I also don't want that issue regardless of where I buy it. Little iffy on that, if anyone knows more details on it, please let me know.

College student looking for decent quality truly wireless earbuds under $200

 I was able to go several hours and almost forget they were in. They never came loose.  *The Active noice cancelling and audio sound was great. I mowed a lawn on the second day I owned them

I was trying to replace a Plantronics ELITE16 mono headset. Overall these would have been good if it weren't for a couple glaring problems.  The Pros: *They fit very well, once you get used to them. I don't think that was due to any issues with the earbuds, your ears simply take time to adjust to having something in them that snugly for very long

 When I put them in, it sounded like I was listening through paper towel tubes. I could faintly hear the fan near me, it sounded like hiss instead of a fan. I could not hear almost anything that was more than a few feet from me unless it was really loud or one of the previously mentioned sounds. I could usually hear people who were speaking loudly, but if someone was outside my office I could only hear muffled sounds

  *The Active noice cancelling and audio sound was great. I mowed a lawn on the second day I owned them. I turned on the noise cancelling. This made the mower and string trimmer a quiet as they were when I used only earmuffs
