After using them with extremely lackluster (and frustrating) results, I returned them and decided to spend some time researching the latest and greatest ear buds available in the market. This search showed me that almost every big brand, house hold name has opted for for touch capabilities for their latest earbuds over physical buttons. The only pair I could find that still use physical buttons were the Jabra Elite 85T, which don't sound nearly as good as the Bose (in my opinion) and have a huge issue with feedback from wind if you are outside.

. sometimes I work 10-12, and my AirPod pros had to be charged 2xs a day just to get through the day. These things, seriously have a good battery life which seems to be a hot topic when it comes to truly wireless earbuds. The case does have a really good battery in it as well, and I was able to charge the earbuds from almost dead to 100% 3xs before I needed to charge the case

 I had a little bit of ear burning after about 6/7 hours (I am a truck driver so I need Bluetooth headphone/earbuds) but it’s wasn’t anything that was substantially painful.  Sound quality - The sound was a bit harsh on the high end frequencies, good mid and bass tones/ranges, not overly powering, not too much not too little either. Using the apps EQ adjustments was definitely a plus as it was easy to use, you can save your adjustments and for me, it calmed the high end down so it wasn’t so harsh.  Call quality - Heres the bad

 I would however highly recommend for extended use, investing in the SpinFit 1025 eartips for these earbuds. The factory ones, they’re good, but the Spinfit conforms a little better with more comfort. BUT… if you’re looking for earbuds mainly for calling and Bluetooth capability, I would look elsewhere.

. the ANC mode is incredible, you don’t feel or get the sense like you ears are in a vacuum like how the AirPods Pro’s or even the Bose and Sony make your ears feel. It does an excellent job balancing that out, but also is fantastic at blocking out noise. Even in my semi truck which is older, so it rattles and creaks etc, none of the noises could be heard

Best ANC in ear headphone? (no budget limit)

 The lows are almost not present - this is the single biggest thing to baffle me after having read in many places that they have some "punch" to them. These buds have almost no low-end, regardless of how you configure the Jabra sound profile in the companion app, and regardless of any other EQ you can adjust from your phone (if that's the source of your music). Tl;dr - don't buy these if your primary use is going to be listening to music. They're probably good for something like podcasts if you're doing listening-only, primarily

To be clear here: this is not necessarily a hit against Jabra, so much as the nature of BT connectivity; it's just not very distance-friendly in general

My review of 85t after 8 days

 It's a total crap shoot in terms of whether or not the buds and case will charge. Sometimes the buds charge when I put them in the case. Sometimes I put them in and close the lid and discover the next morning that they didn't charge at all. Same goes for the case

 They provide a level of detail that my cheaper true wireless buds absolutely do not. -They're small and light, which makes them comfortable. They don't budge once I put them in and I pretty much forget they're in my ears. They work just as well for a workout as at the office

Update: I’m adding a star because, despite expecting to return them, the Jabra Elite 7 Pros quit acting up not long after I posted my initial review. The initial takes are holding up in terms of comfort and sound quality but I haven’t been having charging issues. Good news! I still find myself reaching for the Sonys when sound quality is the priority, and I still think the XM4s are a better choice if I could only choose one. But I think these Jabras absolutely have a place for workouts and outdoor listening thanks to the form factor and solid IP rating

Buggy behavior harms what should be outstanding earbuds

 These are also so, so, very, extremely comfortable for my ears. I broke into the oval eartips fairly quickly and I love the design.

The 85t seem to click towards the back of the earbud rather than the front like they did on the 75t. They were stiff for a while, but I've broken them in and the click feels much lighter now, although its orientation still feels a bit weird. 85t owners, how are you liking them?

 • I’m getting maybe 4 hours when ANC or Hear through is on. I can work around this for Teams meetings by using one bud at a time and alternating between left and right throughout the day. However, that won’t work for me if I’m working outside on weekends or on long hikes using both buds for music and pod casts. (could maybe work with this if this was the only issue) • Communication with app

 • Noise cancellation doesn’t appear to work when attached to PC / Microsoft Teams. My home office is near my furnace. I recorded myself in PC Voice Recorder app with furnace running beside me. Could clearly hear the furnace as I talked over it

 App doesn’t consistently show the correct battery level when using one bud at a time. If I’m using the left ear bud, when battery level gets low, I get notification in my ear to “recharge now”, but app shows the bud is at 86%. I tried putting the left bud back in the case (the right one is already in there), then take the left bud back out again. The app still shows it at 86% and it still tells me to “recharge now”

Earbuds for gym

 It's quite frustrating, and given that I have similar problems with the 75ts I suspect that I didn't just get unlucky. It's a shame too because this is a very high-quality product with great sound for the price, and we badly need good alternatives to the Apples and Samsungs of the world. You might get these and never encounter the problems I have, in which case I think you're in for a treat. For me, I just hope I don't get another unlucky disconnect issue again

 Common fixes like turning on and off Bluetooth, unpairing the earbuds, and putting them into their case have no effect. The truly aggravating thing is that many of the troubleshooting suggestions I see involve pressing both buttons on the earbuds - but the left earbud is not connected, so it doesn't work! Each time I've eventually restored connection, but always just by messing around for ages and then finding they suddenly work again, so I don't have an effective workaround. It's quite frustrating, and given that I have similar problems with the 75ts I suspect that I didn't just get unlucky. I got these to replace 75ts, and I have the same reaction: very strong audio quality, good noise cancelation, great battery life, superb physical construction, but repeated issues with connectivity are a major letdown. They sound quite good, even for someone who's into hifi equipment, call quality is not a problem for me at all (contra some other reviewers), and they feel so premium. But I have had several tear-my-hair-out frustrations with getting the earbuds to connect. Several times, I have suddenly lost connection to one earbud
