These Jamo's sound great. They are an improvement over the s801's, they have more bass. The cabinet quality is what you can expect from Klipsch's budget brand. Not great, but acceptable

Recently I had to move my Marshall Stanmore I to another room (to support TV audio) and now I need to buy speakers that will stand right on the desktop and will be connected to my high-end PC. I will use them to watch Youtube, listen to Spotify music, play some games. I also use Audio Technica M40X headphones.

I'm thinking about these:

\- Fostex PM-0.3

\- Edifier R1600Tiii

\- Edifier R1700BT

\- Edifier 1850DB

A guy from a local store (Warsaw, Poland) is highly recommending the Fostex PM-0.3 plus Fostex PC 1-E but there is not a lot of information in the Internet about Fostex brand.

Which one would you choose? Maybe something else? Thanks in advance.

Best speakers under 200$ for PC.

 Newer records sounded very muddy and the mid range was very buried. This has to do with the V shape these speakers are tuned to.  Overall for a budget speaker you could do worse. But I am returning these

The jamo s 803 speakers have been great in my minimalist white/grey office. They are not computer speakers but bookshelf speakers, so I had to mount an amp under my desktop. The s 801 would be a good choice for a smaller room and now there is a powered version of them as well. The audio quality is top notch and I think you'll like the design

I know this may be a strange question for audiophiles since we usually focus on sound quality but basically my study is photographed from time to time, so I need the aesthetics to be coherent and can't just focus on audio quality. So the audio quality of the speakers needs to be passable but doesn't need to be outstanding - good enough to play computer games, listen to music casually, and get through Zoom videoconferences. I have a set of Grado headphones that I will use when I need better audio performance. 

I've tried Googling this but every article focuses on audio quality more than aesthetics (understandably).

Recommendations for a computer speakers that sound decent but look great for a minimalist white/grey study

I bought these speakers for a home theater/music listening dual purpose. I compared with 2 other budget speakers. I'm not a high end audiophile. I don't have scientific test equipment or decibel meters and I wasn't looking at the frequency curve, just listening to audio and comparing

 Result: I returned these speakers and went with the Infinity Reference speakers (get them on sale).  Thoughts: Jamo S 803: Light, almost too light. They look great though really, very stylish and can sit in the living room without being an eyesore. The versatility with the atmos passthrough was attractive and front ported means they can be put right up against the wall

 My testing helper loved these speakers and I hated them. They seemed polarizing if you like the sound signature or not.  Infinity: The winners. Got these on sale for basically the same price as the Jamos

Comparing Budget Speakers

 These go beyond a smile curve and more into a v shaped curve. Most people will actually like this, and this is part of why most budget speakers have this sound. It means low volume listening is engaging and the speakers have a forward presentation and a lot of upper-mids clarity.  Treble response is great, rarely fatiguing, though at higher volumes sibilance does become a problem

I am a hifi and home theater enthusiast and I purchased these for a friend as a housewarming gift and I was shocked to hear how great these sound for the price. 90% of people wouldn't need any more than this, and for this price there's almost no sense in buying a soundbar when you can get a budget receiver with these for less than a good soundbar.  They look fantastic, though the build quality is as you'd expect for the price (cheap vinyl on the outside, shouldn't be a problem unless you're moving them around a lot)  Bass is amazing, I couldn't believe the bass response coming from these little bookshelf speakers, the front port is excellent and means that placement is super flexible.  Midrange is as you'd expect from a budget pair of loudspeakers: lean and carved out

Unfair to the Competition in the Best Way

Hi everyone! Need your advice please. This set is on sale for €400 or around 400 dollars here in Vienna, Austria. Is this worth it? It'll be my first ever audio system in the living room. I plan to use it for Movies, Gaming and Karaoke. Any advice please? Should I go for bigger speaker set from Jamo

The sound from these speakers are fantastic. They have been a huge upgrade from my existing setup, and I couldn't recommend them more for someone looking at mid-priced speakers.  These are a beast to power, so make sure your receiver/amp can push them, otherwise you will get some popping. That definitely threw me for a loop, but once I understood the issue, upgrading my amp led to a much better experience
