 So i had them up on stands, which are three feet high and i had to be within like a shot of that plug and then there was no plug over there. It was terrible, so i went online and i bought 15 foot power cords for it, because mono price has really cheap power cords and i would recommend you get something unless you have one of those bar strips across your desk you're, going to want longer power cords For these to use them in a room now, so you feed it signal rca from a deck or you can even buy the rca to quarter inch or if you've got a pro interface. You could just go xlr uh, the! Let me talk about why these exist and uh why people use them, because this rca about everything uses that we you pretty much looking at is two volt. So, if there's interference along the length of it, if there's a quarter, volt of interference, it's getting shoved in there, that's an eighth

 The cost is irrelevant because these are the best speakers i've ever put on a desk ever i say that a lot a lot i like the martin logan lx16, is the best tweeter and the best tweeter and the shane's the best low end. This is a whole speaker. Now it's a self-powered monitor, which means a couple things to you. Uh, you don't need an amplifier, you do still need a dac or some sort of sound

 I put them up because of how good they are. I had to know uh here's a decibel sensitivity input. I don't know if you have to change this based on which input you're using because i've only used the xlr so far, but right now it's at negative 10 dbv, which is working fine for this and then i guess you switch it to plus 4dbu. Maybe if you're using this, i don't know i'll check that out the power cords comes with our four feet, long, which is as long as this desk, and that was a joke

 You know two decibels is hardly noticeable, even if, like you're concentrating - and they only really work at this sort of distance desk distance, which these speakers don't just work at desk distance, because i had these speakers up on my main stands and on those stands and everywhere. I could put these speakers up. I put them up because of how good they are. I had to know uh here's a decibel sensitivity input

Z Review - JBL LSR305 Powered Monitors

I have a pair of JBL LSR305's that I really like. I used to have a pair of LS308's but they were too big for the mix position and the bottom end seemed to lose intelligibility in the low mids and sub bass. My room is decently treated but it's still a small/medium sized room, so of course I have a bass null in certain positions around 100hz.

 Harman Audio being JBL, Infinity, Rockford Fosgate, Harman Kardon, Mark Levinson... All great performing products

These sound great, perform well. The stereo imaging is incredible for the price, they have plenty of power and the clarity and bass extension is uncanny. I've tried a number of speakers on my workstation and these are my favorites.

Great Sounding Near Field Monitors

 So you set the max amplification that you would like. Generally, you don't want to set an amplifier all the way up to its highest volume, because then you can get some distortion and clipping. You want to leave it between halfway and three-quarters. I like to adjust mine to where, when I set the volume on my amp to something that's comfortably listenable for my headphones

 If you have something that can, if you have something like a go rack that I have little box with a substance that can actually make these things, produce a good amount of bass, but there's still like a certain point where once it gets so low, it just Picks it out so there's a reason why so many people recommend and only speakers and that's just because of their overall value for the money with their relatively small form-factor. So it's a really neat little little package and it also has an auxilary input. So if you want to feed audio from your phone or something out to your speakers, you can do that too and, like I said the volume control you can use it as a preamp. So this is a neat little little thing and if you don't want to spend, I mean I think it's like thirty dollars

JBL LSR305 - the best entry-level speakers?

I’m moving to an apartment and I’m looking to get some monitors/speakers for my PC setup and for my record player. I’d be mostly playing modern warfare, warzone and listening to rap, country and maybe some hip-hop.

Powered monitors

 I supposed it can be switched with a jeweler's screwdriver or other small tool, so I kept it. I'm thinking JBL must now have their products MADE IN CHINA, like way too many other products are produced! The sound quality seems no better than the similar type BOSE, POLK or KLIPSCH speakers I have.

When I received the replacement unit the same switch was/is recessed so it's not protruding out from the back of the panel.  These aren't thumping speakers. These aren't gon na have a ton of low-end. If, if you're mixing a lot of EDM or R & B hip-hop music, you might want to go for something like the 8-inch 308 or you might want to add a sub disease as well, because these aren't gon na give me that super low-end thud that you're, Probably gon na want, if you're mixing, that type of music for me, though, and what I use it for for metal and rock. I think these sound great they have just enough low-end

 For instance, this room is not acoustically treated. It'S not laid out in the best way, I'm kind of working with what I have. But I've been able to sneak around that a little bit just by using the high frequency and low frequency boost and cuts on the back to kind of make sure that what I hear on these monitors translates well onto home theater system or the car stereo. Something like that now, as far as the negatives on these speakers, I will mention that they don't have a ton of base the base, that is, there is very accurate, but these aren't

 I prefer these to something like the care K, Rockets cuz, those tend to be a little bit more hyped. They tend to have more low-end high in, and I guess your home more exciting to listen to so those might be a good option if you're doing audio engineering and want something that sounds pretty good for music or, if you're doing a lot of like EDM hip-hop Type of mixing, but for me and what I do, I think these are a better option. I definitely recommend these, especially if you're doing any kind of home recording with like rock or metal and you you're on a tight budget like myself. These are a great option

Are studio monitors good for regular listening/watching shows on my computer?

Bought 4 of these speakers, 2 for my office and 2 for my home. The 2 I got for my office had the plastic vinyl layer on the outside wrinkle less then a week or two and sounded very distorted with anything bass related (anything Hip Hop). The second pair i ordered for my home sounded great, had it connected with a JDS ATOM Amp and a Topping D10 DAC through Spotify Highest quality on a PC. If you get speakers that work, then these are great, thankfully Amazon has a decent return policy and I was able to return the bad quality pair earlier today and will be receiving the new pair very soon
