 It feels like you're riding a much longer board so you have that much more control but it has this swing weight of a smaller board so what we ended up riding was the 156. It features their v-core 3.0 which means it's a little bit softer in the center so what that allows you to do is really torsionally flex the board so getting it up on edge is really easy so that kind of compensates for the fact that it is a true cambered snowboard. It is at home make and turn switch regular it is nimble it's really lightweight so no matter where you're on the mountain whether you're ripping groomers in the morning you're taking some park laps you're seeking out some natural features to hit some side hits some fresh snow this board is going to be fun all over the mountain

So free riding this board was a lot of fun not something I would take on the some of the more deep days or on the more technical terrain but you want to get out the rest of the resort dip into some trees find some side hits and kind of just cruise around almost rip all the groomers this board can do it. What's really great about this board is a lot of jones's boards are stiffer the tweaker is softer so it makes it a much more approachable board it's a lot more freestyle friendly and it's really cool to see that a mostly free ride focused company decided to make something with the more freestyle guys in mind the only kind of riders that I might not recommend it for would be like a true beginner or someone that's looking for an aggressive free ride board that's mostly looking for something that's going to ride a ton of fresh snow and really charge and power through a lot of that chop and chunder

2023 Jones Tweaker Snowboard Review | Curated

 Both ways, there's not half a centimeter longer at one end than the other. It's a perfect twin. One thing that they've done to make this a really freestyle oriented and easy to ride in the park is they have what's called a V-Core profile. So the core thickness is actually a bit thinner through the middle, through a longer section in the middle of the most boards, and then a little bit more beef under the feet

 I think a lot of that's that V-Core and this overall flex profile, but they could still go fast on it, and they had a lot of fun with that. It is rated as a 6. Some of our team guys said it's probably more of a 5 in the stiffness factor, and it's cool to see that Jones actually went for it and is doing a pure twin park board.

The New Jones Tweaker - First Impressions

 All of your switch and regular riding will feel totally balanced and the blunted off nose and tail maximise the board's running length without excessive swing weight at the ends which keeps it feeling nice and compact for chuck and spins and grabbing the ends of the board. The camber keeps things pretty old school with a classic positive bend from tip to tail, that's the best option out there for pop, stability and control on the edge. You also get a little extra traction in the form of these disruptions along each side cut and they're going to provide some additional bite points which will help you with holding your line when the conditions are a little firm underfoot or if you're looking to get a really solid set up before spinning off a jump. So you want to be a more experienced rider when it comes to managing this kind of profile as full cambers can have a tendency to be a little less forgiving at the ends of the board

 So far so good. And what about the construction and flex pattern then? Well Jones have given the Tweaker a flex rating of 6 out of 10 which is right on the sweet spot for a huge spectrum of freestyle riding. But it's not a uniform flex pattern. In fact the nose and tail of the board are much stiffer and poppier thanks to some reinforcements with flax and basalt stringers running from the inserts out to the contact points

 It's just not the right board for me, for my style of park riding. But I think for someone that wants 3D shaping to elevate that contact point, that doesn't care about railing a harder carve and just wants something that's going to be easier to press, lock in, be able to pop off a lip, it's going to be totally fine. Like I said, it's not the board for me. I know it's not the board for me, but it wasn't bad

 To be honest with you, I really didn't feel it too much except when I was coming down on a jump it just felt a little more stable, but what that is is it starts out with a stiffer tip and tail and it progressively gets softer into the middle, and then you have a ton of torsional flex that really lets you tweak the board, hence the name The Tweaker. When it comes to that stability, yeah, on jumps and setting it down when you pop an ollie it's nice, but when you're charging you do feel chatter right underfoot. This board's super lively. It's not damp

 Now, when it comes to jumps, it's actually better on jumps than it is like popping off a roller or a side hit. It just snaps off the lip, and it goes further, deeper, and higher. That's really what it does, and when it comes down, you notice that reverse flex in the core profiling so that it's just a little more damp when you come down. If you set it down on the tail, you can just feel it in there

 It's also the most predictable with its flex because it's a middle-of-the-road park board. Now they do something different where they actually make the tip and tail a little bit stiffer so that it's more stable on landings. The 2023 Jones Tweaker Snowboard Review

The answer is yes and now I need to buy one. I felt very stable for someone that is 6'1" and 180lbs but I could butter on it very well. It handled jumps like a champ and I slammed on the breaks no problem after bombing a hill. I HIGHLY recommend this board to anyone looking to be in the park, endlessly search for side hits, improve your butters and have more fun that anyone else on the mountain

 not just the color matching. The stiff asymmetry of the Astro really let the fun, flex, poppy side of the Evil Twin shine.
