Wider All mountain ski: Leaning towards Fischer Ranger 102 FR in 191cm. I did demo ski a brand new K2 Mindbender 99Ti 191cm and kinda loved them for fast to very fast, long to very long turns on empty intermediate runs at Steamboat. I am big enough to muscle wider skis edge to edge but wanted to try and stay with something and little for fun without giving up too much carving/charging ability.

So far, I'm thinking K2 Mindbender 99Ti + Shift 13 MNC bindings + boots that feel good after a fitting. One concern is that the Mindbenders + Shifts might be a bit on the heavy side for uphill, but I'm guessing could probably suck it up... What are your thoughts or recommendations? I'm certainly open to suggestions for skis/bindings/boots.

I demoed the Mindbenders at Steamboat and loved charging on them but they felt a bit unweildly at lower speeds and on tighter turns/terrain. Three skis around the $550-$600 price range:. * 191cm K2 Mindbender 99Ti -

184cm K2 Mindbender 99ti - groomers is easier if not the outright grip of the E100 or Mantra m5, its easy in crud , float ok in powder, 2nd best in bumps after the R10. 180cm Rustler 10 - I bought this ski purpose short because I am an eastern skier that skis really tight trees. I use it mostly for days when there is some powder to be had but I am going to be contending with bumps and hardpack glades to get to it. Its overall just fun.
