 Welcome to our 2022 ski test. We've got a K2 Reckoner 102 for you today. This is the second year of this ski, we get a graphics refresh for this year, but it's really still that same fun-loving, twin-tip, wider, freeride ski that we really got to enjoy last year, carrying right through to this year. I love my bentchetler 120s - ski them in a 184, even on days I absolutely do not need something 120 underfoot. 

Do any of you know of a skinner ski (maybe 100 waist) that has a similar profile in terms of rocker and flex? **Specifically looking for something that allows  me to turn on a dime like the BC120s do.**

For reference I'm 5'10, 166 lbs, advanced skier, and spend most of my skiing days at Alta.

I ski in the Alps and I‘m looking for a ski to freeride and do some short sections uphill. I do have some line skis to hit the park so that’s nothing I‘m looking for right now. Butterabillity plays just a minor role since my other skis do that quite well. 

Besides the alps I ski in my local ski resort north the alps and it would be cool if the ski would be easy to turn in trees on more slushy conditions and hold well on ice. I‘m an intermediate skier.

What do you guys think comparing both skis?

Bent 100 vs Faction Prodigy 3.0

 Great ski for the advanced to expert level guy who's looking for something really soft, really buttery. Kind of like a supersized park ski. 102 underfoot gives you a nice, big, easy stomping platform for you going big in the backcountry. The soft snow, the firm parks a little bit

 It doesn't feel too light like you're getting blown around if you go off a jump. I would totally butter on these. I'd love to butter on these. I would recommend this one to freestyle skiers who are getting into some more off-piste conditions, some more ungroomed conditions, trying to take those tricks and start jibbing all-mountain and kind of taking that style and floating through some powder and trees with it

Spring snow: is wider better?

 You see a lot of them around and there's a good reason for that. It's a really intuitive ski to ski. It's one of those ones that you put it on and it instantly feels comfortable. It's got a really great match of flex and side cut and profile, which they blend really well together and that means you have a ski that is just natural to ski

2023 K2 Reckoner 102 Review - Newschoolers Ski Test

 The K2 reckoner 102 seem great, as there is a smaller size available since I'm rather short. The only thing is that I feel like they are a bit heavy (1800gr per ski w/out bindings). I also checked out the reckoner 92 aliance but again they might be too slim at the waist.

But they do go that well with really deep powder as I feel like I have to lean back too much. So I'm looking for a more freeride oriented ski that I can go touring w. The K2 reckoner 102 seem great, as there is a smaller size available since I'm rather short. The only thing is that I feel like they are a bit heavy (1800gr per ski w/out bindings)
