 And then other than that we just have our TRS and XLR balanced inputs, remember you need to use balanced cables when setting these up, it's very important otherwise it just doesn't work that well. And then we have RCA connections for your cheaper type audio interfaces, personally not a fan of RCA connections. And then we have a volume knob over here which isn't the best of quality but when it comes to studio monitors you're not going to be changing your volume that often, usually when you set them up and take the time to do that you're changing your volume, you're doing all of that and then as soon as you got the right volume you'll probably leave that knob for months before you fiddle with it again. And then last but not least we have our input and our power on and off switch so pretty basic nothing crazy, you can see that Kali audio is really focused on trying to keep costs down by bringing in all these modern touches and just really focusing on the sound and getting these studio monitors at a very low price and giving you a lot more which I am always a fan of

 Yes you're getting the 6.5 inch cone at a very good price even cheaper than the Karakay Rocket 5's and Yamaha HS5's and Adam Audio T5V's and the sound is definitely better in my opinion as well. You're going to get that extra low end which is going to help you get a better sounding overall mix. You're not going to have to worry about getting a subwoofer anytime soon either and in my opinion if you're someone looking to purchase a decent pair of studio monitors at a really good price that's quality and that's going to last you a good amount of time these Kali audio LP6's are going to tick that box

 So for my final overview of the Kali audio LP6's I have to say that overall I am becoming more and more of a fan of Kali audio. I love the fact that they focus mainly on the sound and trying to give you a lot more for a lot less. Yes you're getting the 6.5 inch cone at a very good price even cheaper than the Karakay Rocket 5's and Yamaha HS5's and Adam Audio T5V's and the sound is definitely better in my opinion as well

The noticeable noise that these make is loud to the point of being irritating. I’m aware some noise is to be expected but these were really loud. I could hear them from the other side of the room

Good monitors with a catch (for me at least)

I just moved to a new apartment and got a pair of Kali LP-6 to use at my office but the room is so so so echoey that I decided to put the speakers in the living room until I'm able to do a proper sound treatment, but I got so surprised by the results that I don't think I'll return the speakers to the office anymore or maybe I'll get another pair. The sound is amazing if compared with the tv speakers, and of course, the budget. I also took the opportunity to do some cable management and connect everything with ethernet cables. Overall, I'm really happy with the results

I’d get a set of Adam Audio T7Vs. Excellent sounding speakers that provide plenty of bass. If those are too big, I’d get a set of iLoud MTMs.

And that’s exactly what I have: T7Vs in my living room and the iLouds on my desk.

Since it's a small room, I have a corner desk, so I had to place the speakers this way. I usually listen on my chair in front of the PC but I watch movies on my bed which is just behind the chair.

In terms of music taste, I like hip-hop and electronic music mainly with some classical music and ambient music too.

 I just wish I would have received two that would have sounded the same, because I think I could have been happy at that point. As it is, I'll be returning these and probably looking elsewhere.

Good Value, But....

Currently working on an album in a small room and we have been using a pair of M-Audio Studiophile AV 40's. 

Would it be worth it to upgrade to the Kali Audio LP-6.?Potentially V1 or V2 depending on what deals we can find.

Fiiiiiiiire 10/10 would recommend

The Kali LP-6s are very capable speakers for the money. I recommend to spent most of your total budget (800AUD) on the speakers. The Loxjie A30 is a good amplifier choice. From the speakers you mentioned I would go with the KEF Q150. The good linearity and the coaxial design work good on a near-field setup.

That doesn't matter, a good speaker sounds good on low levels. You don't need to listen loudly to justify a 6"-7" woofer.

I’ve had my KALI LP-6 monitors for a year and I’ve decided I want to move to a passive setup sooner or later for a variety of reasons. The monitors tend to hiss which wasn’t a big deal at first but gets annoying after using it in a near-field setup for a year. They also have a tendency to shut off for a few seconds at random intervals. I don’t mind the speakers themselves but I don’t feel like I get the most out of them as I tend to listen at fairly low volumes, so if I end up going for something different I’d probably downsize to something like a 5”. Probably looking to spend about $500AUD on speakers and $300AUD on an amp. Currently looking at something like a SA300/loxjie a30 for the amp and pairing it with some used KEF Q150s/chorus 706s/Q acoustic 3020is. [this is my current setup](https://imgur.com/a/FUej99y) .
