 We connected these u6s to a project rpm one carbon turntable in red that match the gloss right at the cantos, and these not only look sleek, but they also sounded fantastic. While listening to vinyl, but when we didn't have the vinyl album, we were looking for and we just wanted to play something on the fly we easily connected it to our phone via bluetooth and pulled up our favorite playlist. This is a really nice touch to be able to use your turntable and listen to it. But if you don't have the album on vinyl, you can just connect your phone and use bluetooth now

 The u6 is ported in the back for improved base response. A 100 watt class d amplifier is built into the left speaker, which is enough power to fill a decently sized living room with some rocking tunes. The u6 has dual toss: link: optical inputs, rca inputs with a phono switch, a subwoofer out 3.5 aux input, a usb type, a charging port gold-plated, binding post terminals to connect the left and right speakers and best of all bluetooth, 4

 The song happier than ever is a fun tune by billy eilish. That really puts these speakers to work. You could hear the subtle breathiness of billy's voice between the words, along with the background vocals and instruments perfectly separated during the first half of the entire song during the second half billy, takes it up a notch and the whole band kicks in with some solid bass And instrumentation, as i turn them up the low end, really shined here and each hit of the bass, you could really feel in your chest. These filled the entire office

0 aptx is an audio codec that can sport up to 24-bit audio transmission that reduces signal and noise transmission, giving you a lot less distortion having this feature makes them easy to connect and stream your favorite song without having to worry about quality loss via your transmission. However, the lack of bluetooth 5.0 does limit these speakers for future, and if we could upgrade one thing about them, we would probably pick that an aux input is also available and it's great for plugging in a phone or a tablet for a quick streaming playback option. If you don't want to connect to the bluetooth now on a desk they're perfect for filling up the office with sound and with a few additional accessories, you can really upgrade the sound coming from your powered speakers, whether it's background music or typing

 To get even remotely balanced sound stage, I had to turn the bass all the way down, and the treble up 2 clicks (of 7).  I tested the YU6 across multiple genres. I used high quality recordings and bitrates of 320 kbps or higher. The connection was through a brand new optical cable, so no issues with interference

 But the sound is incredibly muddy. There's almost no separation of instruments, and the out of the box levels are so far off it's just bad. To get even remotely balanced sound stage, I had to turn the bass all the way down, and the treble up 2 clicks (of 7).  I tested the YU6 across multiple genres

 Now in conclusion, I must say that I am very impressed with the Kanto U6 and I think what is important is that it makes me now love listening to music or even watching movies on my desktop setup even more. I love its clean, modern aesthetics, excellent build quality especially when it comes to the versatility, making it suitable for desk setup for your home or your office as well as inside your living room or even as mentioned earlier in your bedroom as well. Now Bluetooth connectivity as well as the phono preamp built-in are big plusses adding to U6's long list of features. Now while the bass isn't its strongest feature but there's plenty of low-end performance for most people especially adding them in the remote as mentioned earlier

 Now when it comes to the Kanto U6 hardware and connectivity, here's where the Kanto U6 excels. Being a powered speaker, it integrates a class D amplifier that pumps out a total of 200W of peak power and it offers a wide frequency response of 50Hz to 20khz plus minus 6dB. Now what's cool is there is also a built-in phono preamp for you to connect it to a turntable without having a separate phono preamp for your turntable setup. It delivers a well-balanced sound with good separation of frequencies across

 At the back you'll find a rear firing base reflex port for a better base response of course and also great connectivity options which I'll talk about in the next section. So as a quick summary, the Kanto U6 is a sweet looker and won't look like a total stranger on your desk, console table or even in your living room as part of your home entertainment system. Now when it comes to the Kanto U6 hardware and connectivity, here's where the Kanto U6 excels. Being a powered speaker, it integrates a class D amplifier that pumps out a total of 200W of peak power and it offers a wide frequency response of 50Hz to 20khz plus minus 6dB

 Now keep in mind that the drivers are exposed without any protective covers or speaker grills, so you may want to place them away from your furry pets and kids as well. Then the left and right cabinets look identical except for the left powered unit, you'll find a control knob and a circular sensor that has a status LED light, similar to the Kanto U4. At the back you'll find a rear firing base reflex port for a better base response of course and also great connectivity options which I'll talk about in the next section. So as a quick summary, the Kanto U6 is a sweet looker and won't look like a total stranger on your desk, console table or even in your living room as part of your home entertainment system

So as of late, I have reviewed the Kanto YU2 and the YU4 and I have been very impressed with Kanto’s speaker portfolio as they always offered speakers that have great design, superb audio quality and features without breaking the bank.

But I am not done yet because here comes the biggest of them all - the Kanto YU6. 

So let's find out why I think that this is the most versatile and best value for money speaker in the range.

Kanto YU6: Here comes the BIG Brother with BIG Sound!

I wanted to like it and I hope it's just broken; there is a scratching noise coming from one of the tweeters shortly after pausing. But I still don't think that would fix the "electronically amplified" sound of the speaker. The best analogy I can offer is that it sounds like a bloated burlap pillow. 

I crave great audio all around my home, all the time; it's a great change to the numb normalcy of daily pandemic life. 

At the start of the pandemic, I caught the audiophile bug. I ended up with a Sony AVR and XTZ Sound Spirit 4 Bookshelf speakers. For now I am really happy with this and it's lovely to have high fidelity string quartets on all the time on the main floor but it's usually set up in my study/home theatre. 

Being a mass market, consumer electronic product, I at least hoped it would sound half as good as my $100 AudioTechnica M50x headphones. My expectations were low but holy heck how do you make a speaker that sounds this awful. It had glimmers of greatness, but that's all that it was. 

Pc or media use

 The best loudspeaker, like anything, the best camera, the best phone, the best this, the best that, is the one you use the most. It's not the one that someone else says you should go get or you should aspire to have and then never have. It's the one that you like using, you like listening to, you like just putting yourself in front of day in and day out. Hey everybody, welcome back

I listen to them more every single day than even the JBLs that we have out in our main listening room

 When I say they are powered monitors, what does that mean? Well, most loudspeakers are passive, meaning they require you to connect them to an amplifier or a receiver which supplies them power in order to make the drivers dance and do all of the things that make them sound good. A powered loudspeaker has those amplifiers inside, meaning they do not need a receiver, they do not need an amplifier, it is all built in. But the Kanto YU6 loudspeakers actually have not only the power amps built in, but preamps and the ability to connect directly to sources or stream via wireless or Bluetooth should that be your jam. And that is what makes these so compelling, because for $399 you can essentially buy a pair of the Kanto YU6s and forego the need for a receiver, an amplifier, a preamp, and in some instances, depending on your musical taste, you could probably forego even a source, because we all have smartphones in our pocket and a smartphone via Bluetooth connection to these bad boys and you are off to the races

Returning and crossing fingers

 I did do most of my listening using the chromecast adapter, but this also does support Bluetooth. A BTX aptX is supposed to give you better sound if you're using bluetooth, but these speakers are revealing enough, where, if you're using bluetooth streaming, you can clearly hear the compression, like I mentioned before, if you're just throwing on some background music, then bluetooth should suffice. But if you really want to sit down and listen, then now it's saying don't use bluetooth now think a lot of you might be interested in picking these up for desktop duties and for near-field usage. I thought they were excellent, although you may want to be sure that you have them on stands so their ear level or you can purchase these little stands that candle mix these actually screw to the bottom of the speakers and angle

 Both speakers together just be sure you look at the color of each wire and match them up to the other speaker. Accordingly, power output is rated at 100 watts, RMS or 200 Watts peak courtesy of Class D, amplification for listening I've hooked up a chromecast Audio, which is now discontinued to the optical input. The chromecast Audio can stream up to 24-bit 92 K high res files, so for high res music, I have been using the Kobus streaming music service, so I tried these out in my living room placed on a bookshelf as a point of reference. I have used the excellent, sound and kept LSX wireless speakers in the same spot

 It'S a good sounding speaker for pop and rap for sure. I threw in Timberlake's man of the woods album and they handled the bass heavy tracks. Just fine and I should know, and if you're so inclined you can raise the bass levels using the remote control, you can raise it up, five clicks and down five as well. You can also do the same for treble two
