The unfortunate fact of the matter is that Keychron is well marketed Chineseum, and you can't expect much better support than from a random supplier on Aliexpress. I lucked out with my K3, but unfortunately wouldn't recommend the brand to anyone.

100% this. Keychron makes some solid equipment when it works properly. I'm one of the lucky ones when it comes to my K3 and everything seems to be working flawlessly however I have seen similar posts to the ones you are referring to. I feel like Keychron should just take their time with new products and not allow the pressure customers put on them to rush them. The waiting period for the K3 was somewhat of a long time but they kept us updated as new information came out. Even though my K3 is working just fine, I would have been happy to wait a few extra weeks if it meant a more successful product launch for the company. Posts like these are important and provide great feedback to the company.

Yep they are cool keyboards when they work, but having dealt with a faulty one I will absolutely never buy from Keychron again. I’d recommend others look elsewhere for mechanical keyboards as well just to stop supporting this company. They are a really, really horrible company.

 I don't really care for its "Gaming Prowess" because, well, it's a keyboard. I just want it to feel good to type on and to light up purple. And look good.

I am aware of the various high end contenders of the Mac/Win keyboards, but none of them is explicit wrt the USB connection, so whether this also provides keyboard functionality or whether it merely charges the devices.

I also know about the fact, that non Apple wireless bluetooth keyboards (without dongles) do not work on freshly booted machines until the login procedure has been completed (relates to Mac/keyboard firmware).

In detail I asked myself if there is any keyboard out there, that:

* Can be used both for Mac and Win (dual layout printed/edged on the caps)
* Can connect to basically three bluetooth capable device like Macs, iPhones or iPads.
* Charges via USB/USB C
* Provides keyboard functionality also via (the charging) cable.

Any ideas?

K3 alternative key caps

Since they understandably don't want ISO stock sitting around pointlessly as the demands much smaller and the ISO boards seem to have the same layout but language specific caps, wouldn't it make more sense to just make hot swappable mechanical and optical versions of the boards and leave them blank?

ISO buyers can then just pick the switches and the language keycaps instead of the weird ISO variances currently and some lines selling out fast whilst others sit in a store room.

Either add a charge for them to be put together before shipping or let the buyer do it, chucking some switches and caps with a board must be better than making stock just in case someone wants it and then being stuck with it ?
