  My detailed review below.  Background: I have spent the last year working to repair my moisture barrier and get my skin back to a healthy and smooth state. My current skincare regime is science based and focuses on layering products to fortify the skin. I have combination, acne prone skin

Indispensable to my regimen!

I've heard this sub rave about Kikumasamune High Moist Lotion for years, but didn't take the plunge until this summer. I have dry, dehydrated-leaning, somewhat sensitive skin.

Kikumasamune High Moist Sake Skincare Lotion + a fine mist bottle has been my summer superstar

 I have fairly sensitive skin with only mild acne. This doesn't get rid of acne in my experience, but it doesn't make it worse either, which I think is pretty great. I typically use BHA products to actually get rid of the acne, so this does a good job of being minimal and just doing moisture only.

 It's a light moisturizer, so I use it as a base or when I need something quick when getting ready. If I am feeling just slightly dry, this works perfect, however if I'm dealing with more intense dry skin, I need to opt for a cream. Usually, I'll layer this with another product. It is easy on the skin, and personally I like the slight alcoholic sake scent

 I typically use BHA products to actually get rid of the acne, so this does a good job of being minimal and just doing moisture only.

So this really is a nice product at its price point. As others have noted, this is NOT an American-style "toner" that stings and tightens the skin. This is a light, moisturizing liquid (not a gel, cream, or even close - it is like water).  I like to use this right after washing my face or out of the shower to avoid that dryness sneaking up on me

Kikumasamume High Moist Lotion ( really an essence and I really need to move it into a spray bottle for easier application) followed by Kiehl’s Creme de Corps ( THE BEST LOTION IN EXISTENCE, it passes the jean test, AKA, my legs are not ashy after a day in jeans). I buy 2 of the liter bottles usually during one of their sales and it lasts me until the next sale.

[Misc] What are your HG shower and body care products? Things like body wash, lotion, hand &amp; foot care etc.

 It’s a very comfortable texture for my body, as it soaks in right away and I can put my clothes on right after. I’ve noticed my face is less inflamed — less redness and less acne. I can’t give this toner all the credit because I started using the manyo bifida complex ampoule at about the same time. Regardless, I still like this a lot and will continue to use

It does smell funky but I still like it.

I like this quite a bit, it is hydrating and the packaging is super elegant. I use this on off-nights from tret.
