Its waterproof, you can you can wash it under running water, It has an auto shutoff, it has an alarm, and the most important thing is its ultra fast. It's advertising 2 to 4 seconds Reid time. That's what's the most important to me

 Maybe one with a longer probe would be better for a barbecue so that your hands aren't so close to the heat? Otherwise, fantastic.

I'm very happy with my Kizen Thermometer. This gizmo takes all the guess work out of grilling, allowing me to show up like a champ to the dinner table. Very reliable thermometer

Easy to use

 There is also a large round hanger end if you prefer that. I keep my Kizen thermometer right next to my stove top, and simply reach over, open it up, and place it in the center area of whatever I am cooking. So easy to use, inexpensive, very accurate, and I don't plan to be without one ever again! It would be an appreciable Christmas gift for family, co-workers, or stocking stuffers.

 I am not a great cook, and dropping things is common for me. I currently do a lot of frozen bowls or meals using a little stovetop cooking or a little baking or a little microwaving. I never used a thermometer until my first Kizen a couple of years ago. I didn't realize how dependent I would become on assuring some things were cooked to at least 165F

I am seriously concerned about how excited I am about a thermometer. Kizen is to thermometers as Dyson is to vacuum cleaners!! I have rarely seen such a well designed product. This thing is amazing. It turns off automatically when you fold the probe into the body, saving the battery, PLUS they even send you an extra battery!!!! Who does that? There is a button to turn on the light so you can use it in the dark! You can even re-calibrate it if it malfunctions

Seriously?? Why can’t Kizen make everything?
