I'm gonna be reviewing my newest addition to my home theater setup which is the clips are 12 SW If you guys don't know This is the outgoing model of the clips reference sub line But definitely this is a great sub Right now it's currently on so I picked mines up from Costco, I don't know what's going on if clips in Costco made a deal because they definitely have a large inventory I've seen it on Costco website, and they're all in all the different locations, but let me jump right into it This is a 12 inch front front firing subwoofer The frequency response if you guys was wondering this thing will dip down to as far as 29 Hertz And we spawn all the way up to 120 Hertz, but you guys should be really crossing off Your saw work your subwoofer from your floor standing speakers if you have some at like 80 Hertz, which you guys should know Power handling on this thing. This is 200 RMS and 400 max Wattage So yeah, it definitely get loud

 I will say the auto Wake up on this particular sub is quick This sub comes on Darn there instantly Um, and it works really well Next step you have your phase switch Your choice between zero, you know 180 phase it and obviously your line in And once again, it does a great job at labeling things that usually you have to read in the instructions You can see if you're going to run Um a single cable It even tells you right here lfe So this is cool Um, really really nicely labeled Now this is a sub back in I'll show you guys on the length of it Uh, so i'm gonna go ahead and switch over to the demo for you guys can hear how it sounds All right, guys, um, this is part of video where I go ahead and do the demo of the sub. At that price I'm assuming that these are the R- models and not the RF- models?  (I can't get the product page to load for some reason).

If so, not bad for entry level, but if you think you are going to keep the theater around a while, probably worth saving up for some higher end speakers as they could easily last you 15+ years.

Personally I'm of the mind that a system made of up RP-600m L/R and an RP-something center along with some Micca surrounds will sound much better for about the same price. 

The Reference Premiere series are sex and have been widely praised. The old-school Klipsch in this price range was extremely polarizing.

 After I little tweaking, I've got this one dialed-in to take over right where the Walshes start to fade. The effect is seamless, and it just sounds like I gave the Walshes extra extension and bass output. Good low bass is omnidirectional, meaning that it seems to be coming from everywhere in the room, not a specific point source. While I was playing the system (fairly loud) my wife pointed at this sub and asked if it was actually working, since she attributed all the bass to the other two speakers at opposite ends of the room

 But I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the level of low bass you DO get from it, and gobsmacked that you're getting it for under 300 bucks.

While I was playing the system (fairly loud) my wife pointed at this sub and asked if it was actually working, since she attributed all the bass to the other two speakers at opposite ends of the room. This sub is an AMAZING value for the price. I'm sure it could meet most of your bass needs for small to medium sized home theaters as well, depending on what you're looking for

I bought this to add some extra low-end to a pair of Ohm Walsh 4s that I recently purchased and had refurbished. I've been a bit spoiled by the low-end I get in my HT with my twin 800W Klipsch R-115SW 15" subs, and although I wasn't looking for earth-shaking bass for my living room, I wanted something I could match with speakers that are 50+ years older. After I little tweaking, I've got this one dialed-in to take over right where the Walshes start to fade. Insanely Good Value

 I'm about to get into this box and I also have an older RCA subwoofer over here. It's the one that I have been using, it's also a 12 inch subwoofer. So I'm going to compare the two. Let's start by getting this Klipsch subwoofer out of the box

 I had to change microphones because the bass coming out of these subwoofers was overpowering my lavalier but I have both the Klipsch and the RCA subwoofers going right now. The Klipsch is showing a very tight controlled pattern and I need to turn the RCA up a little bit. When I turn the RCA up it is definitely having a long throw here but it is less controlled, less tight and I'm still getting the chuffing sound coming from the bottom. Also when I turn it up to full volume I'm getting some horrible rattling coming out of the RCA subwoofer

 Different mains are going to have different sensitivity. That's why you need a gain. Also there is a little bit of personal taste involved. You might want a little extra bass boost

 It almost seems out of control. Sine waves are all well and good but if you really want to test the subwoofer you need to do a real world test. So I popped in a twister here. This movie has a lot of bass and it will really put a subwoofer to the test and the Klipsch is delivering

Aunt and Uncle asked if I wanted their old home theater system. Duh!! First real home theater setup outside a sound bar, super excited!

 The sub is large but is sharp looking wherever you decide to place it. As for sound my upgrade from a 250watt 6inch to this was night and day. It gives you all the booming low frequency effects on movies that I've been missing out on since my last heavy hitting sub stopped working. The sound is clean and distortion free at my personal IMAX levels

It was time to update the bass in my home theatre without breaking the bank. The sub size and wattage for under $200 sounded too good to be true but I had confidence in the name brand. The sub is large but is sharp looking wherever you decide to place it. As for sound my upgrade from a 250watt 6inch to this was night and day

Good bang for the buck

 What a great sub, it goes down to 20Hz, really hits the bass floor. So today we're going to try to play a song that's very bass heavy, goes down very low. It's called Bass I Love You. I've seen a lot of videos where they use this as a demo, you know, trying to rate different subs, how well they perform, and this sub just loves it, eats all the life

Basically, as low as you go, it just likes it, so let's take a listen. So the Klipsch R12 SW subwoofer features a 12-inch copper spun front firing subwoofer, delivers 400 watts of dynamic power

 There's bigger, more expensive models, but for starting out, this is an excellent subwoofer, highly recommend. Till next time.

 It's impressive with music, movies, it's got a low pass crossover and phase control, and it also has LFV inputs, so it works with pretty much any receiver on the market. I can't stress enough how much I love this receiver. It's literally made the entire system sound eight times louder, and that's just from filling in the mid to the low range bass that was rarely lacking with my system. So for $180 bucks on Amazon, I highly recommend grabbing this thing while you still can

If something is constantly available for a given price, that's it's price. It isn't a "great deal".

I was watching The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug and was so disappointed by how weak the voice of Smaugh was. I wanted some more bass! Anyway, I was saving up for an SVS PB-1000 that was recommended here. However, I found a new Klipsch R12-SW at costco for $170, and can&#39;t help but think this looks like a great deal. Maybe adding it to my existing sub would be enough? I have a Yamaha RX -V583 receiver which can do two subs. Should I get the deal or hold out for the PB-1000?</p>

Is Klipsch R12-SW Costco deal worth it?

I ordered the R-12SW thinking it was the 10" one (I just went for the cheaper one) but let me tell you: you'll want to go with this one. Spend a generous amount of time fine tuning it, ore you'll get noise complaints from your neighbors like I did. It can fill easily a very big room with the more forgiving settings.  The only downside that I see on this version (and a very unexplainable one) is that if you like the speakers without the protective mesh, this one will leave exposed the mounting pegs, that not just look bad, but are kinda sharp (unlike the other Klipsch speakers that use magnets to mount the protectors)
