KZ ZSN PRO, good budget IEM can recommend. Moondrop Starfield, oooooh boy these are a good one. Currently the newest in my collection, arguably the best sounding aswell. Headphones from the left to the right: Jabra Elite 65t, KZ ZSN PRO, Moondrop Starfield, Koss porta Pro, Philips SHP9500. As you might have noticed, these are all pretty standard widely recommended headphones so I won't get into much detail here (If you want more detail about any of them feel free to ask). Starting with the 65t's, I bought them for watching youtube and movies on my phone. Decent sound overall, very comfortable, only real flaw is the case. No magnets and micro USB. KZ ZSN PRO, good budget IEM can recommend. Moondrop Starfield, oooooh boy these are a good one. Currently the newest in my collection, arguably the best sounding aswell. Perfect comfort, good sound, decent price. They're my main gaming headphones (I mainly play rhythm games). Philips SHP9500, the "sit down and listen" headphones, great Soundstage, lots of detail (not as much as the Starfield but more than the others) comfortable but I can definitely feel them on my head. I also use a Fiio BTR3k but since I just got it I'm not going to say anything about it... yet.

A friend recently lent me his Koss Porta Pros.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you... The shelf.

 It makes what otherwise sounds like calm natural vocals sound like a whirring hissing mess of loud noises. While a lot of people might not be sensitive to these sounds, I am extremely sensitive to sounds like this so it was honestly a deal breaker for me.  Overall, while I didn't have a horrible experience with these, I would still definitely prefer picking up Koss's KSC75s over these as they not only sound a lot less hissy, but they also cost nearly the same amount. If you are looking exclusively for IEMs, maybe look elsewhere because these might not be the best for you

Thought these sounded good... until I tried the Koss KSC75

 I use them all day, virtually every day, for phone calls, for listening to music, and more. I'll even use them at night to play white noise to drown out sounds as I try to sleep. Other family members use them to varying degrees, all of us with the same time until end of life for each component.  Sound quality is great with good bass

Chi-Fi IEMs rundown (details/"reviews" in the comments)

As others have pointed out the sound is pretty good for the pricepoint. It's not perfect but I've used it to listen to music and play on my switch without any issues, and it blows the cheap earbuds I had before clean out of the water.  Again, the IEMs themselves are good, my issues are primarily with the rest of the package. I won't comment on the tips that came with these since I replaced them with foam ones immediately (I can't use silicone tips)

Good Sound, Bad Cable

Starting from the top, going left to right

1) Sony Pulse 3D headset. Got these free from a friend. Bad seals, ok quality for gaming, not very comfortable 

2) AirPods Max. Controversial, and absolutely amazing. Best Bluetooth headphone out. It’s in the Waterfield case

3) Samson 850. Has a Brainwavs Hybrid pad change. Comfy now, audio? Meh. Depends on what you’re listening to

4) Philips SHP9500. The best starter open back. Cheap and surprisingly great. Lightweight and comfy. 

5) Meze 99 Classics. Gorgeous, wood, and PUNCHY. Definitely not for analytical listening. My fun headphone. 

6) Koss PortaPro X. Got these as a recommendation here, they’re ok. A little too bass heavy for my tastes as I have more portable balanced options

7) Sony WH-1000XM4. Thought these were the best out when I bought them. I had NO idea then compared to now. With EQ, I can make them tolerable, but I’d rather listen to the AirPods Max. 

8) Hifiman Sundara. Not much to say about this that hasn’t already been said. They’re awesome for the $350 price

9) Audiotechnica m40x. Got these free from a friend. Very surprised with how good they sound. Definitely great for the $99 entry price. They tend to be better through my DAC/amp than directly from my phone. But that’s could be my tastes. 

10) Taotronics SoundLiberty 79. Recommendation from DankPods. They’re good for a $50 TWS. 

11) Enacfire E60. I have zero clue why these are recommended so highly on Amazon and even rtings. These are garbage. $30, and nothing but mud. Really. Stay away from them. 

12) AirPods Pro. They’re AirPods, of the professional variety. I have Dekoni Bulletz on there. Great sound, wish it was bassier, but it’s my workhorse. 

13) AirPods 2 with wireless charging case. Got these first before I knew anything about headphones. They’re AirPods. Convenient, and I don’t use them anymore for obvious reasons. 

14) KZ ZSN Pro X. Dual driver IEM. Solid for $25.

15) BlueParrott B450xt. Yes, I consider this because it plays audio. For calls it’s amazing. Fantastic mic (as it is for truckers). Sound? It is ok for podcasts, but that’s about it. 

16) Grado sr80e. My first pair of open backs. They’re good. Wire is heavier than the headphone. Sparkly treble. Not my go to, but they’re good. 

17) Apple EarPods. Just your basic dirty buds. They’re ok. I’ve heard worse. 

I’m taking a break for a while from purchasing. Lol. 

My ultimate dream set is the Empyreans, but I’m focusing on upgrading my amp next and just enjoying those Sundara. Love those guys.

Can you comment on transparency mode for the headphones that have them?  Specifically the airpods max and the Sony xm4. I’ve got the AirPods Pro and I absolutely love the transparency mode, even with the music playing I can hear everything around me, clearly, and I can even hear where the sound is coming from. I also have jbl bt500 and Shure aonic 50 and the transparency mode is pretty disappointing, especially in the jbl’s, it just kind of sounds like I’m listening to an awful mono recording of the outside world that chooses certain frequencies to amplify more than others

I'd keep Airpods Max and Pro, Sundara, and Meze and sell the rest.

I have 17 different headphones. Meet the family.

I bought these headphones over a year ago and LOVED THEM, the sound quality was delightful, the cable was nice and braided, and the ear tips felt great.  I sadly lost my old pair and immediately went to buy another, I am disappointed to learn that the cable is no longer braided, the ear tips may have changed manufacturer (? They feel diff), in the overall sound quality is somewhat worse than my previous model.  It's still a bargain but I wouldn't buy again following these changes.

Am begginer audiophile. Here's my collection! Feedback welcome.

 They get more than loud enough (I ended up listening at about 38% volume), and the negative shape makes them pretty low profile in your ear. The passive noise canceling properties of these is pretty weak, better than you'd get with Apple Earpods, but nothing special.  The tips straight up sucked for me, either not sealing, or becoming really itchy after a few minutes, so I quickly bought a ton of third party tips for them. Due to the shape of my specific ears, foam tips caused the IEMs to sit at a slight angle, making them painful to wear for more than a half hour
