One of the things that a lot of people will use toe hooks for is for resting, so the less energy you have to put into holding that toe hook the better, so we've just totally covered it in rubber on top. Basically, it improves the the tool that the Solution already

 You'Re gon na be thinking more about how much you can feel that's what that's what people want with a softer heel cup? They want more feedback, more sensitivity, but you're, not gon na be able to pull quite as hard. So if it's a really epic really hard heel hook, this is going to be a little bit softer and in order to get this to not deform, you're gon na have to size it really aggressively so that your heel is locked in there. That doesn't slip out a lot of people when they heel hook, they kind of push their toe forward and that can cause the heel to lift out of that pocket. A little bit so really aggressive, high-performance fit is pretty crucial with a softer heel

*NEW* La Sportiva Solution Comp

 First and foremost, in this shoe you can see the shoe has the classic pd75 last, which will be the same as you'll see in the la sportiva futuras and a list of other shoes, the otaki, the muras, the kataki, the squamas and the mavericks. So this means that this shoe will fit similarly to the other shoes at least the same shape of foot. It has an aggressive downturn, as you can see here, it has high asymmetry, so you're gon na have a bit of curving going on here. Let me move this out of the way, so you can see here we're going to have a bit of curving going on here, which is going to put a lot of power under your toe, which is really good for those really hard toe moves

 I mean this is a 41 and a half. This is a 42 and a half, and these are 42's. You know i usually try to get my shoes secondhand. If i can, these are actually all like slightly secondhand, which keeps my costs low, so i don't always get the exact size that i want, but i'd say that the 42 and a halfs are my size in the instincts and 41

 This has the edge rubber, and this has the grip rubber. I'M not sure if aspartiva just does that in general or if they're doing that, specifically because it's the grip rubber, so these shoes are going to really do it all. You could do smears with these hard micro edges on toes really good heel. I actually really dig this heel and i actually broke these in pretty much on a project that i've been working and it has this cool little heel toe cam that i wasn't able to get to work with any other shoe and these things just stuck like glue

 So it's a blend. Half a leather half synthetic it has a 3.5 millimeter rubber and, like i said it's that vibram excess grip, 2 medium volume fit there really good uh. This is going to be if you wear other la sportiva's, like i mentioned before, like one of my other favorites, the futuras, i mean these things feel very similar on the foot, almost identical

 It's a tight fit for me without being uncomfortable. I prefer not to downsize a ton. If you like a snug but comfortable fit, go with street shoe size.

Better than the Solution!

My only gripe is the price but you gotta pay more for higher quality items. Definitely worth it.

Amazing

 They are a bit more challenging to get on, but once they're on your foot, they're super snug and relatively comfortable. These are perfect for the gym and more technical outdoor climbing, but not as good as the regular solutions at toeing in on steep pockets (e.g., I prefer the regular solutions outside at the Red)

So happy with my comps! I am a fan of the original solutions and was talked into these as my other shoes get older. These are awesome like my old solutions but the heel fits so much better. I did size down a half size from my solutions size and glad I did - I did purchase 2 sizes and went with the smaller since my heels fit like a glove in the half size down.  These also excel on pockets and any time you need to toe in and down

Great try hard shoe

These fit MUCH better than the original La Sportiva Solutions for women (the black/pink ones). The heel is much more snug and the shoe doesn't come off when doing heel hooks! The colors are very nice and the rubber is sticker than any other brand I've tried. The sizing seems to match the original black/pink Solutions, so if you order in whatever size you previously had, these should fit the same way.

Much improved heel design

I bought this a few weeks ago.  My street shoe size is 40.5 and I bought these in 38.  I tried the 38

5 too and it was a nice tight fit: however, returned it because I expect the shoes to stretch half a size. The heel in the new version fits me better.  For reference I own the older solution in a size 38.5
