As a result, the TC Pro is an absolute climbing machine for vertical to less-than-vertical terrain, and specifically granite. While we often correlate a flat shoe with a beginner shoe, this is a notable exception: The stiff make-up and sticky XS Edge rubber make it an ultra-high-performance edger and slabber.  This will be the shoe i wear just because it has that balance of edging and comfort. So i can just keep it on all day if you're anywhere in that realm, so anyone who trad climbs or you just do sport multi-pitches and you want a comfortable, high-performing shoe. This is the perfect shoe for you. I really don't think, there's anything better out there

 Instead of having to wear a crack shoe and then bring another edging shoe, the last portivo was designed. You have this little divot under the toe. You have that really stiff sole. It'S all designed to make this shoe comfortable, but also really good at edging, and it's good at edging

 La sportiva did some changes to make it more comfortable, and i think they did a really good job. The padding on the ankles is super good. Just like the first time you put the shoe on, you can feel the quality of the construction and the material. It'S really soft

TC Pro 2021: More Niche Than You Think

 And a few can be 12 but very few. On the infamous shoe sizer at shoe stores I am just over an 11. So at first size 45 seemed to be the call. Walking around in the store was tight yet comfortable

 But knowing that shoes stretch I tried on the 44.5. They were tight but not painfully so. I decided this was the size for me

I had the fortune of trying this on at an REI in Reno but I couldn't fit them in my carry on bag. I figured I'd order them online when I get home. My street shoe size is 11 1/2. A few shoe brands can be size 11

A very substantial shoe

 Let'S talk about the new tzpro [ Music, ] yeah, so uh pretty excited about the uh, the redesign. I was a little nervous at first because it just seemed so sweet. I didn't want to mess with it, but, as we've learned from sportiva, they tend to have a really good vision when we first design these shoes and they're kind of pulling it off again. For the first 15 years of my like lcap climbing life, i would bring two pairs of shoes

 I had a little bit to do with that. But really it was like the brilliance of the of the designers at sportiva, yeah and even with like the ankle protector like that. Was this thing where for a while, we tried to have a removable, ankle protector and then they're like. Why? Don'T we just try and put it right in the middle, so it doesn't feel like it impedes your foot movement um, but it still protects it and it works

Really comfortable shoe. Break-in period was pretty quick and I can climb in them for hours. Sadly the stitching is already coming apart under the loops on the back on the right shoe. It looks a little weak on the other shoe as well

 Attempted to contact La Sportiva about it but their website isn't allowing warranty requests and the phone number is busy. The connection for the tongue of the shoe is very narrow so I have to be very deliberate about how I put them on. If not the tongue gets folded, putting a pressure point on the top of my foot. Hoping support will work with me on a warranty

When you climb, the rubber band has been built in a single piece of rubber to have greater comfort and greater durability, especially when you jam the shoe into a crack.  Size 37.5 fits lengthwise but the heel is too loose. The shoes are very stiff and clunky when I first put them on, but they slowly warmed up and conform to my feet, as I left them on. Unfortunately, the heels felt looser too as I left them on

 They added this little design piece is like the toppo of free rider, freeride and the down wall, obviously because two of the most famous climbers, who really enjoy using the tc pros, are tommy caldwell, it's his shoes and alex arnold added this extra protection for the laces, Because when you jam your feet in the crack this extra piece, it basically gives more protection to the laces. They fix some little problems on the tongue. So now it's more comfortable. It doesn't slide down and it's more protected here on the bottom [ Music

 It'S this perfect hand crack yeah. It'S just it's really cool this obvious splitter line, [ Music, ], [, Music, ]. It'S not only that it's not down there, but it's also quite flat compared to the other shoes like there is not so much volume in the front. So it's easier to jam your feet in, like smaller tracks: [, Music, ], okay, [, Music ]

 The most obvious thing is the color. The old dc pro was gray or white, and this one comes in olive, green. NEW La Sportiva TC Pro: Babsi Zangerl + Jacopo Larcher Review | Climbing Daily Ep.1932

My foot shape doesn't really seem to be a La Sportiva shoe foot shape and I'd be hard pressed to quantify that statement further. That said, I still like these shoes for their comfort factor. I prefer shoes that are more aggressive for face climbing and honestly, I'd prefer more aggressive shoes for crack climbs as well, but these provide features that you usually don't get with those more aggressive style shoes (padding on the top, ankle protection, etc) so these would be better in the right situation.

Crack climbs for sure

 The front of the shoe and then back around the heel and what that does is maintain that nice downturn shape prevents the shoe from bowing out over time. It'S going to snap back to its original shape, pretty much every time for the life of the shoe. This shoe is actually pretty stiff, so you can get away with sizing it a little bit larger. But that being said, um from from what i've worn on the new production run of the tc pro, i think they fit a little bit large

 We'Ve got actually more rand rubber on the front of the shoe pulling up higher to the laces, and we've also put in this low profile, insert to make jamming a lot easier. So it's going to give you more room and be less of a hot point and also create less wear on these lace loops down here. So the whole jamming experience should be a whole lot better, and what we've also done is we've integrated a single piece rand on the front of the shoe. So what you can see on both sides of the shoe is this is all one piece of rubber laying down on the entire side of the shoe, and what that's going to do is it's going to prevent the delamination that we were seeing with the previous generation, Where this rubber used to tuck in to the front rubber on the toe rand, so it's going to make it more indestructible and more resistant to delamination on the front of the shoe and just a better crack climbing shoe all around what we've also done is we Fixed the the tongue, so the tongue in the front of the shoe, would uh often fold over as you're putting it on we've addressed that issue as well, so the tongue no longer folds over towards the the top of the toe box there

 So the whole jamming experience should be a whole lot better, and what we've also done is we've integrated a single piece rand on the front of the shoe. So what you can see on both sides of the shoe is this is all one piece of rubber laying down on the entire side of the shoe, and what that's going to do is it's going to prevent the delamination that we were seeing with the previous generation, Where this rubber used to tuck in to the front rubber on the toe rand, so it's going to make it more indestructible and more resistant to delamination on the front of the shoe and just a better crack climbing shoe all around what we've also done is we Fixed the the tongue, so the tongue in the front of the shoe, would uh often fold over as you're putting it on we've addressed that issue as well, so the tongue no longer folds over towards the the top of the toe box there. So it's an even more comfortable shoe and we've also stamped don wall and free rider onto the side of the shoe as a nod to alex honold and tommy caldwell for what they've achieved in the tc pro and we've also got a lot of eco construction on This shoe so the laces and the webbing are all made out of recycled materials, and the leather is an eco leather. It doesn't use any heavy metals in the tanning process, so totally clean process for producing the weather as well
