Are blisters simply unavoidable after a certain distance?

I weigh about 90kg/200lbs and haven’t had any issues in years. My go to pair of shoes are La Sportiva Akyras or La Sportiva TX4, if the terrain gets more rocky. With both of these shoes I actually use quite thin smart wool PhD Pro light socks. Works really well for me and I get now blisters up to 40-50km/day.

Seeking Advice: Wide and high volume boots/trail runners

Hi - I've recently been really impressed with La Sportiva TX4 as being one of the only shoes I've put on and instantly felt ok. These ones are NOT ultralight and I wouldn't trek with them (I use them for single day scrambling and climbing approach), but the TX approach line that Sportiva does includes some much lighter options. Although I have not tried their trailrunning shoe offerings (which would be lighter again), I would definitely do so on the basis of this fit.
