 There might be times when you know you smell the fragrance and it doesn't cater to your personal tastes. And that's totally fine. If you're into the fresher fragrances, or you're into some other types of DNA's, then that's all on you. But in my opinion, this is 100% worth it 1000% worth it in 2020

 But I feel like this one is still quite modern, because of its daringness and its ability to stand out from the crowd and be different. And so with all of that said, my final verdict is on cren noir by Lalique still worth it in the year 2020. And the answer to that question is a resounding yes, this fragrance is still absolutely worth it in 2020. With the price in mind, despite the flankers, given the uniqueness and the originality of the formula, this one checks off all of the boxes, this was probably one of the easiest episodes that I've done on a fragrance

  And I should know about that, because Gucci Rush used to be my single favorite men's cologne of all time, until Gucci stopped producing it. So in that regard, I am glad to have found Encre Noire, because now I can smell Gucci Rush all over again. And I have always been stunned by the fact that Gucci decided to stop producing Rush, and by the fact that there was always such a lack and dearth of fragrances that produced that kind of beautiful, sweet, cedar woods kind of smell, because I think that many people find that kind of scent to be really beautiful and intoxicating.  I think that if the woman who created Encre Noire is honest with herself, she will admit that she was very influenced by the smell of Gucci Rush when she created Encre Noire

  And before I go any further, I think that it is important to inform people, that Encre Noire smells exactly like the Gucci Rush cologne, which is no longer produced. Yes, almost 100% exactly like Gucci Rush.  And I should know about that, because Gucci Rush used to be my single favorite men's cologne of all time, until Gucci stopped producing it. So in that regard, I am glad to have found Encre Noire, because now I can smell Gucci Rush all over again

 But yet, that is not to say that this is a bad smelling fragrance, because it isn't. It is however, to say that this fragrance is more of something that I would wear when I am alone in my house, not out in public.  And before I go any further, I think that it is important to inform people, that Encre Noire smells exactly like the Gucci Rush cologne, which is no longer produced. Yes, almost 100% exactly like Gucci Rush

  Unfortunately, with Encre Noire, I do not pick up on very much vetiver or earthiness, because the sweet wood notes really seem to take center stage of this fragrance.  Encre Noire is housed inside of a black glass cube shaped bottle, which is packed inside of an even larger black cube box. And on top of that, the title of this fragrance literally translates into: "Black Ink." So most people think they are purchasing a mysterious, black, Noire and gothic kind of a fragrance, when in reality, that is not what this fragrance actually is

My impressions of this fragrance

 "Puredistance M gave me a Dracula vibe. Formal and butch at the same time with a heavy leather note accompanied by warm spicy notes and flowers.".

 Then, my rating would be a solid five stars. Still, a fantastic purchase for the Amazon price point noted above. I'd purchase again as this is different amongst a sea of copy-cat fragrances.  Footnote: I tried an experiment and mixed the Ente Noire Pour Homme with Creed Tabarome Millesime and the smell turned out to be heavenly! The Creed Tabarome Millesime seems to balance the Enre Noire very well while not ruining the original Enre Noire scent

  Enre Noire Pour Homme is perfect for late fall into winter and suitable for dress or casual use. The reason I'm not rating five stars is that there are better, in my opinion, fragrances on the market such as Tom Ford Oud Wood and Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille which smell similar but they balance the wood smell with another ingredient such as vanilla. These fragrances cost a lot more, however. What this fragrance could benefit from is a hint of nutmeg or vanilla

 To me, this fragrance smells deep "spicy woodsy" with hints of vetiver, light sandalwood and cedar. I compared this to the cedarwood hanging in my closet and it's not far off. In my opinion, too much wood without anything to balance the wood scents. However, it's long-lasting (6+ hours) and the scent doesn't project more than five feet; thus, stinking-out everyone around you which is a bonus

**Lalique Encre Noire Á L'EXTREME:** A fragrance of tremendous danger and magnetism. It smells like a 18th century preist turned serial killer. A dark and mysterious woody fragrance that is at the same time powerful and reserved.

 It is a hit or miss for many who are looking for clear cut vetiver cologne. This one is dark and woody with medium too long staying power and not at all a fresh fragrance. Of course this all depends on the chemistry of your skin. I would recommend it at $25 or even $35, which was the last price at paid a year ago

I've found this to be a great every day vetiver scent, although the dry down has more Cedar undertones. It's a men's fragrance that can be mysterious at time due to the fact that the cedar and vetiver don't seem to be balanced very well in this one. Interestingly enough I think that's its strength. This makes it very unique and distinct

Great scent. It was a good deal when it was $35. Now over $60 it is not.

4711 Eau de Cologne. I use it as a cooling agent spraying after a shower, workout, or being outside in hot weather. Doesn’t last at all (of course), but it’s great for layering too. Spray over Encre Noire if you want to add a bright neroli opening

 It smells kinda like a forest. I think I would recommend it to someone older than me (I'm 21), because it strikes me as a scent for more mature people.

Not very wearable, but it is a good cologne

This is, without a doubt, the most sophisticated fruity-floral I have ever tried; it contains none of the usual garishness of overdone pink pepper and fruit gushers and artificial flowers, but conjures a young woman with a peaches-and-cream complexion and softly dimpled arms, drawn to all the classics from Aesop to Homer to Austen. Pear is prominent, rendered sweet and velvety (redolent of poached pears), and then there's a delicate floral bouquet headed by jasmine.
