I wasn't kidding when I said I live in the middle of nowhere. I sprayed some La Vie Est Belle on my wrist, waited for it to sink in to really give it a chance, and I felt kinda disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it smells good and I understand why it's popular. But after reading endless of reviews and watching videos from fragrance fanatics, I was expecting it to smell absolutely godlike, but my thoughts about it was "Yeah, this is nice".

Does everyone like it? No. But those who do describe it as a masterpiece, a modern chypre done well.
