 FIXED! It seems that  the enamel on the Le Creuset didn't wear off like I initially feared, but rather the metal edges of the immersion blender wore off onto the enamel. I was able to get them up with Bon Ami and some elbow grease. So Le Creuset is stronger than steel? :P Either way, I will maybe skip the immersion blender in my Le Creuset from now on, just in case.

UPDATE: After my initial panic I did some Googling and reading the Le Creuset site. Since the metal areas were not chips and still felt smooth, I decided to try some Bon Ami. FIXED!  Le Creuset Signature Dutch Oven on Amazon for a little over $300. It seemed like a really good deal, but I got nervous when I googled the third party seller and found very little info. I requested an order cancellation and received a reply from the seller, stating that they would try their best to stop the order from shipping but couldn’t guarantee it.

75 qt. saucer has a hairline crack on the interior enamel and the skillet had a few exterior scratches. I expected more from LeCreuset and Amazon. These items look used or factory second, they do not look new

As stated in the title, I have this le creuset enameled cast iron skillet that isn’t heating evenly. Initially I thought it was because I was using an electric burner. But I’ve since used a gas burner and have noticed the same issue. The center is cooking faster

Le creuset enameled cast iron skillet - not heating evenly

I have been using the products for almost a month, and the skillet and the sauce pan are working well. However, one day as I was preheating the oven, a small piece of the inner layer popped out, as you can see from the pictures. Now I wonder if I should just throw this thing away.

I checked out the pan you wanted Le Creuset Signature Skillet. It seems like a lot of people like it. There are some complaints that it's not really non-stick so YMMV. The glaring issue with it is they say you can't cook on high heat with it only up to 500 degrees

Not sure what happens after 500 degrees but this is the temperature that other non-stick coatings degrade and become toxic. And it's not really clear what their non-stick coating is made out of -- only that it's enamel

Looking for BIFL non-stick pans and a blender. We cook a lot and I’ve bought so many pans. Bought a whole set of Green Pan ceramic non-stick last summer and most of them are already losing their coating. I’m sick of this and want to buy a set that will last forever. 

We have limited space in our kitchen and don’t want pure cast iron due to the extra maintenance. 

I’m looking at the Le Creuset Signature Skillet. Anyone have other recommendations?

About 15 years ago my husband and I proudly purchased a large set of Le Creuset cookware to replace our used-up set of T-Fal cookware: the dutch oven, large skillet, small & large saucepans. We quickly got used to the extra weight, and fell in love with their mysterious ability to make everything we cooked in them taste better.  But over time I noticed the cream-colored enamel growing darker and darker, and then eventually wearing through in places, despite careful use. Finally this year I decided to call in the wonderful lifetime warranty that Le Creuset offers, to have them all re-enameled

 As a home cook who has worked as a chef in restaurants this is the go to cookware. Most restaurants people visit on the regular don’t use this kind of hardware but the fine dinning establishment that you go to every now and again definitely do. Here is why. When a carpenter or lawn guy, handy man or roofer to the every day dad who just likes to get stuff done, they will always use the best tools possible
