 I will say, though, as far as secondary screens go, the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro has an exceptional 1600 by 2560 pixel AMOLED screen. It's just a joy to use, and it's made even better courtesy of a superfluid 120 hertz refresh rate. It's not unnecessary inclusion, but I think that that refresh rate is a good one nonetheless. But it feels like the Tab P12 is handicapped as it still is running what amounts to a big version of the Android OS that you'll find on your regular smartphone

 Plus, you'll have plenty of power under the hood to do anything you would ordinarily want to do on this form factor. As for the battery life, there is a huge 10,600 mAh cell tucked inside this almost credit card thin slab of tech. And with the right usage in my own experiences, that is, I could easily go four to five days without thinking or needing to think about charging. Of course, that, in my experience, was light usage with the odd YouTube video or Netflix show alongside some very minor web browsing thrown in

Beautiful screen, but...

 Now depending on which app you have open, it's actually going to open it in a pop-up window, which is kind of nice. You can have several things open all at once, or as you can see, you can also do split screen just by dragging them all the way over to either side. And then you can have two things going there at the same time, like you normally would in split screen. Also down here in the right hand corner, you've got your shortcuts, notifications as well

Lenovo Tab P12 Pro Just Got A LOT Better!!

I bought a Galaxy Tab S7+ to replace my aging but much loved Galaxy Tab A10 (I think it's an A10, from 2016).

I absolutely love tablets mostly for Reddit, reading and surfing.  The new S7+ has a gorgeous  OLED screen, runs smooth, the S-pen is fantastic and does everything I want... BUT it's huge (12" screen). 

 I liked the smaller size of my old A10 (10.1" screen, I believe).  

The other tablets I was looking at were the Lenovo P11 Pro which has a 10" OLED display, and the Samsung Tab S7 (also about 10").  

The problem with the Lenovo is that it isn't available anywhere.  Even on Lenovo's own site it's not available now.  The problem with the Samsung Tab S7 is that it isn't an OLED screen.  I know Samsung makes great displays and reviews have said the S7 has a nice screen, but I don't think it will have the black blacks that OLEDs have).

I love the black blacks of an OLED screen and I'm fine with laying a premium for it.  I'm also fine with buying refurbished (the S7+ that I want to return is refurbished).

So what OLED screen tablets in the 10" size are available out there??

10" Android Tablet with OLED screen?

Solid tablet for the price

 I'll go ahead and show you some samples of photos and video just to give you an idea of what to expect. As expected performance on this tablet is really good. In Geekbench scores they're right up there with the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Ultra. And also as expected gaming on this tablet is really good

 Not only hardware but also software, performance. There could be some improvement with the cameras. But overall I really like what I'm seeing from Lenovo. And if you do buy this tablet over something from Samsung, I think you're really not gonna miss out on much

 It's gonna make it a really tough decision to choose between this and some of those more popular Samsung tablets. It's just really nice to see a high-end tablet. Not only hardware but also software, performance. There could be some improvement with the cameras

Lenovo Tab P12 Pro - Unboxing & Review!

The screen is amazing: clear, bright, and big!  The tablet is nice and thin.  I ordered the (non-keyboard) stand from Lenovo, and it is a great addition.  The stylus is a puzzle: its point is not soft, so hitting the screen with it always makes me cringe a bit.  Fortunately, your finger is all you need (unless you are doing artwork)

I've been looking for years for a replacement of my Galaxy Tab S2 solely for the purpose of media consumption. I stopped looking over a year ago after my last hope (XiaoXin Pad) died because there were Widevine L1 issues and the AMOLED was PenTile..

With HEVC/h256 slowly becoming the new standard I really hope that I can finally find an alternative for my aged S2..

As of 2022 is there any new offerings (sub 600€) that match my criteria:

MUST Have (no way around it):
+ Widevine L1
+ OLED (I watch a hell lot of dark shows), no PenTile
+ can decode HEVC/h265
+ WiFi
+ &lt; 600€

Nice to have:
+ DV/HDR10
+ 3.5mm audio jack

Neutral:
~ doesn't have to be new (read: can be something that isn't sold anymore)
~ not afraid of importing from China (as long as Widevine L1 is guaranteed)
~ doesn't have to be a flagship processor, I only want to watch media
~ doesn't need good Audio, almost exclusively use headphones

No go:
- IPS/LCD
- PenTile arrangement
