The best 32 inch gaming monitor under $300 that we've tested is the LG 32GN600-B. The large screen provides a more immersive gaming experience as you see more of your game at once, and it has a 1440p resolution with okay text clarity, but it's not as good as on smaller displays. As expected for an entry-level monitor, it's not the most versatile, but it still has great gaming performance.

It has a fast 165Hz refresh rate with native FreeSync support to reduce screen tearing, and even though it's not certified by NVIDIA to be G-SYNC compatible, it still works with NVIDIA graphics cards. Gaming feels responsive, as it has low input lag and a quick response time, but as is the case with many VA panels, there's black smearing with dark objects. Speaking of the VA panel, it displays deep blacks and has decent black uniformity, making it a good choice for dark room gaming.

Sadly, while it supports HDR10, it's not the best for HDR gaming because it can't display a wide range of colors and doesn't get bright enough to make highlights pop. Also, it has narrow viewing angles and terrible ergonomics, so it's not good for co-op gaming. If that isn't a problem for you, then it's the best 32 inch gaming monitor that you can get for under $300.

 It'S not like it's worse than last year's model because there was no equivalent. Last year, the ufo test guidelines make a minimal difference and still exhibit the red fringing issue. If anything, it's the contrast guideline that has the most impact, which does minimize lg's poor contrast ratio, but it's not a massive difference that would radically change our recommendation, so these guidelines and attempting to control our review were totally unnecessary because, as i said, i have mostly Positive things to say about the lg 32gb at 50.

 The 32 gpa 50 is priced 100, us dollars above the 27 gpa 50, which is a pretty standard price difference between 27 and 32 inch monitors with the 27 gpa 50. Currently at 450 us dollars or thereabouts. The 32gb 850 is currently selling for 550. Over at b h again, a fairly typical price for a mid to high end medium high refresh rate 1440p gaming monitor from a design perspective

 It also has a 144hz native refresh rate very decent color accuracy out of the box, thanks to lg's use of nanoceltec, which you can learn more about in this video, and it's got variable refresh rate in the form of adaptive sync. Now some of you might remember that this monitor was advertised as having g-sync hardware in it when it was first announced. But, as you can plainly see, the g suffix has since been dropped from the product name. Now the monitor still does have a g-sync sticker on it because it received the g-sync compatible label from nvidia, so you'll have variable refresh rate, regardless of which graphics team you play for, but you'll miss out on some of the extras that would have come with a G-Sync hardware, module and full certification like an unlimited variable, refresh window and 165 hertz overclocking, which i guess brings us perfectly then to the 27 gl850s downsides

 Why would lg include this faster setting at all? Surely they must know as well as i do that it just looks bad well, here's one theory back when this monitor was announced at e3 2019. The community was already wondering whether lg's one millisecond claim was something that the display could achieve reliably or something it could only do under special circumstances and with overdrive, absolutely cranked. If you were shopping for a new monitor a few years ago, the general rule was that gamers would buy tn panels for their higher refresh rates and fast pixel response times, while creative types would get ips type panels for their accurate colors and wide viewing angles fast Forward to today and ips, refresh rates have climbed from 75 to 110 and even 144 hertz and now lg is claiming to have also closed the pixel response time gap with the 27 gl850, a 1440p 144hz ips monitor with an advertised one millisecond pixel response time by Developing a panel with a new high-speed liquid crystal layer that promises tn levels of speed if they pulled that off, it's an industry first and it's a huge deal, but is it marvelous or is it marketing [, Music ]? The main effect of pixel response time is the motion blur or the trail behind, moving objects, and in order to show you guys exactly what the motion blur is like on this monitor, we turned to blurbuster's excellent guide on how to build your own inexpensive pursuit camera. The idea is to put a camera on a slider and then try to move it at exactly the same speed as the objects on screen. That way, you can capture only the aspects of motion blur that are caused by the display and not those that are caused by the image persistence of the human eye. Sliding the camera at the right speed takes a few tries, but they built in this easy way to tell if you did it right

 Let'S compare with a couple of other monitors, then, starting with another ultra gear 120hz gaming monitor from lg that's advertised as having a more typical ips response time of 5 milliseconds. So there's no real difference in the amount of detail that we can see in our ufo. But where there is a difference is in the amount of ghosting visible on the trailing edge of the ship as the pixels struggle to switch colors quickly enough. I'm a little new to the HDR scene, but am looking to get a decent HDR display this year for primarily gaming and some movie watching. Although information is lacking, I've been keeping an eye on the upcoming PG32UQ. The HDMI 2.1 support highly intrigues me along with its HDR capabilities. The problem is that it is an HDR 600 display VESA certified meaning it likely has only local edge lighting instead of FALD like the PG32UQX. So my question is whether or not 600 HDR without FALD and only local edge lighting is really any marginally better than SDR?

Today I got my LG GN600-B. There are not much customer opinions on this model on the internet, and there is no review. Rtings has a review on a similar model (maybe exactly same except the stand idk), GN650, but I strongly disagree with their review on especially two points: viewing angles and black uniformity. Viewing angles are not as bad as I was afraid of, actually it's good in my opinion. I'm using asus vg249q ips 144hz as a second monitor, and before LG GN600 I was using Asus vg259qm 280hz, which has one of the best contrast ratio, black uniformity, picture quality and response time among ips monitors. As for black uniformity, this monitor is awesome. We have a Samsung Qled tv so I have a solid reference point and I can easily say that LG GN600 offers very good black uniformity and contrast. Colors are of course not exactly that of an ips panel but not that much worse, I believe an average person can not tell the difference in vibrant content, and with a bit of tweaking an above average person would be satisfied. As for response time and motion blur / ghosting, I definitely wouldn't play cs go or battlefield 5 on this monitor but I wasn't expecting to be able to do so either. However, I didn't notice any problems with witcher 3 and ac origins, they were totally smooth and crisp to my eyes (hardcore cs go player here, I consider myself very picky about motion artifacts.) Freesync premium and 165hz and 10 bit color (8bit+frc i guess) and hdr all at the same time work nicely through a Paugge certified dp 1.4 cable. And lastly hdr is not that bad. In my asus vg259qm, I wouldn't turn on and use hdr even if hdr for the content at hand was available, because it was terrible in all aspects. In this lg gn600 however, I liked hdr. It's not great, it's not even good because this monitor still lacks enough brightness and superb coverage of hdr color space but its hdr can be used for the sake of experiencing it. Is it much different and better than sdr? Of course not. But way ahead of asus vg259qm (and any other ips panel i guess).
