We're talking about the brand-new 34 You See 98 white edition. So today, the UPS driver dropped off the brand new 34 You See 98 - W monitor. The 34 You See 98 features a 34 inch curved display with a 21 to 9 aspect ratio

 This is also a feature they have on many of their OLED TVs which makes those nice as well. And last but not least, the monitor features a 3h anti-glare hard coating. Now taking a look at the front of the monitor, you guys can see this thing features a pretty awesome design and the bezel on this is the smallest that I've seen on any monitor yet. and with that 34 40 by 1440 resolution, everything looks really sharp

 I'm not totally completely sold on the 60 Hertz for the refresh rate I Think that you know you should have the ability to overclock that and make it higher like some of the other monitors we've seen. That might be a Cabot to some people. If you're a person who can really see that you need 144, Hertz or 120 Hertz 60 Hertz just isn't going to be enough for you. But beyond that overall, we're using it as a workspace monitor and that type of thing

 So here's my side of the story now: I Wanted to see if I would be comfortable replacing my dual monitor setup which are 144 Hertz IPs and 1440p panels with the LG 34 UC 98. That from an organizational point alone that would add extra order to my desk set up and actually let me place speakers on each side of the monitor given my limited desk space. I Really love the design language of this monitor with an aluminum stand that has a curve of its own, a bit more aggressive than the panel itself, but still beautiful in design. It may be challenging to organize the little things around the stand because because of that curve, but I Honestly think it's totally fine now

Unlike the previous model, this monitor has some flexibility with the stand allowing plenty of height adjustment, angle adjustment, and even small horizontal rotation to allow you to strengthen the panel in case it's lightly cricket. The rear housing of the monitor is white, which may look odd at first, but I think it has the potential to blend in more within your space if it's not facing the wall versus a fully dark frame and behind the stand is a VESA mount for walls or monitor stands

But perhaps the biggest upgrade that I've noticed compared to my old monitors despite the curve is its higher resolution

 The main thing that sticks out to me over the previous monitors that I've had is this new Ultra HD resolution as well as it being a curved monitor. Yes, with curved TVs and monitors being a new thing to pass two years or so, I've never really bought into it, but seeing it firsthand I really like it. There is NO worthy upgrade that checks all the boxes, left for OLEDS. At eye-watering cost.

Currently I have a viewsonic xg2401, tn, 24&quot;, 1080, 144hz, freesync panel wth 8bit color, and I actually really love the thing, it has vertical gamma shift and I have to crush black level detail to get the thing to not look washed out, and it has terrible contrast, but still I like it.

I&#39;ve realized that resolution means almost nothing for gaming compared to framerate, I lack one thing now, yes, the only meaningful upgrade I want now is: Contrast, sweet sweet contrast.

Spending £1479 on the 48&quot; lg cx is impossible right now, as my pockets are laughably shallow and even if I had the money, it just isn&#39;t wise to spend that much don&#39;t you think? (Especially for a graduate).

Sigh, come, groan with me as gigabyte/asus/msi/samsung/lg/etc release yet another pointless high refresh rate abomination with 1000:1 contrast, what a joke.

Sorry, I just wanted to moan............as I prepare to butcher my future wallet with an OLED.
