 I don't like spending time cleaning things up and spill-proof shelves tend to work really well, so I like that, for the price it's just not as exciting as GES, comparable French door fridge that one's only sixteen hundred dollars. It has a slate finish, which I think looks a little bit better than this stainless the stainless here also smudges really easily, and that GE fridge uses its interior a lot better than this one. It'S a small fridge that feels smaller than it has to because of really poorly designed shelves moving them around, isn't tough, but there's only so many places you can put them so the interior is tough to customize and tough to fit taller bigger items with our fridge. We test we load it up with groceries, and this fridge struggled with the normal stuff, like milk, jugs and cheese, and soda and condiments, let alone the bigger items we used to stress it like party, platters and cake trays

 It's just not able to best the  $1,600 GE GNS23GMHES French door model . Both do well with temperature consistency, with GE gaining a slight edge, but the LG doesn't give a lot of options for shelf placement on the LFC22770ST. It's a small fridge that feels small. GE's model escapes that trap with a more customizable, better-designed fridge interior

 We don't take the listed cubic feet at face value. Some models use space more efficiently than others and are able to fit more food as a result.On the first round of our test, we keep the shelves spaced evenly from top to bottom, then fill the fridge with everyday groceries such as jugs of milk, bottles of soda, condiments, snacks and veggies. We avoid stacking items or placing them too close together on this round; doing so isn't great for air circulation in the fridge, and something to avoid during day-to-day use

 I decided to cancel my 3-year Service Contract with Sears after learning that the shelf locations were not as flexible as I had expected. Could have returned this unit for refund, but I had already "beaten-the-bushes" looking for a refrigerator that met most of my design criteria. And had already returned a new Kitchen Aid refrigerator (purchased prior from Lowe's) because it had a significantly larger energy use rating than I had been promised. [I did not learn about the higher energy rating for the Kitchen Aid refrigerator until after it had been delivered and found the yellow tag - which had been missing in their display model - hence the need to look up the info on their web site

 This shows utter disrespect for the customer. Life is good, but the service for my first LG appliance is very very bad. Warning - you must have the receipt or LG will not provide warranty service.

 Until the compressor failed, "luckily" within a year of purchase. If you need service, call LG directly. I called my appliance dealer (who was not Plesser!) and he failed to arrange warranty service. He called me back the next day, then again failed to arrange service

We have a wall with a door frame on one one side, so the fridge door doesn't open more than 90 degrees. besides limiting the access to the shelves and drawers ever so slightly, the fridge door hits the doorframe in the wall every time we don't remember to open it very slowly. Initially, we were afraid that the steel on our fridge door will get indented from hitting the doorframe on the wall, and even glued some padding to the doorframe, however, when it unglued, it turned out that stainless steel is strong enough to withstand those hits, so this contributed to my 5 star rating

 Bottom freezer: because it is designed as a drawer-in-a-drawer system, it can be painful to find things quickly if you like to stuff it full. A cautionary tale

 I am sorry if you had a bad experience. I bought this smaller size because I live in an older home that has a built in spot for the refrigerator. The new larger models would not fit. LG was one of the only companies who still makes a model for apartments and other situations
