Unit good customer service stinks

 We verified the level, with slight modifications which did not help the cooling problem. We followed up with a phone call to LG customer service. My husband was on hold for 4 hours, after which he was told they can't schedule more than 3-5 days out and that he would be contacted in 3-5 business days. On the 5th day, having yet to hear from LG, I called back to check the status, which took about 5 minutes, and we received a call back with an availability of a service technician to come out a few days later

 Since it is under warranty, I submitted a service ticket on the LG website. The response received was an email advising the customer to level the refrigerator. We verified the level, with slight modifications which did not help the cooling problem. We followed up with a phone call to LG customer service

 I gave this four stars due to the unknown reliability factor.  Ice maker - The in-door ice-maker saves space in the refrigerator. Most of the other brands currently have the ice maker located in the left upper corner of the refrigerator. That said, the ice storage in the door is limited

 A manufacture that offers quality products in this price range should stand behind their product by providing longer warranty coverage.

Good on theory, but on practice this feature probably requires more discipline and better memory than we have: we found that in most cases we open both doors, first one, then another, in order to find out where is what you need. Our filter failed much sooner than expected, probably clogged, and we replaced it with the plastic insert LG provides for those who don't feel that municipal water needs any extra filtering

Good fridge, but only for 1-2 years

We recently replaced our Samsung, which in the 4 years since we bought it, had broken for the third time. We chose this LG which we have been happy with and there are a few features which make it really unique. We are a soccer family; coach, ref and both of our girls play, so we go through a LOT of ice. This fridge has two ice makers AND the ice cubes are smaller so when you are holding a sports water bottle up to the ice shute, the ice falls right in where old sized ice used to get stuck in the opening

 LG's warranty is terrible (basically one-year with exceptions for parts, but not labor). Now we're facing almost $1000 in repair costs for a unit that we're not confident will last much longer. Put your money in a different brand. LG is not the company that it used to be

I have to call them back??? regardless the Fridge has obvious issues and for the price you pay for it you would expect a high quality product. not the case
