 I had to build this panel which fits in my screen to exhaust the air out. Okay I'm taking a temperature reading here. When we start this air conditioner it is currently 1004 and it's seventy five point eight degrees in the room beside my bed. The other temperature on the right is the outdoor temperature

 Back here testing the LG for sound pressure levels. So with I'm talking it's around 70-80 decibels. I'll stop talking we'll see what it goes to. At approximately one meter it's somewhere around 54-55 decibels

 So it's only been running about five minutes. According to my wattmeter it only uses about 580 watts and that's with the compressor running. So we'll keep our fingers crossed now. Let me just check to see what the maximum wattage is

And that new standard called seasonally adjusted cooling capacity, SAC for short, SAC is going to always be a lower number than the number that was calculated by traditional methods that involves this unit being a 14,000 BTU unit. So the drop going from traditional BTUs to SAC BTUs is substantial

 The unit is noisy on high fan speed, on operating on cooling mode. The unit makes a lot of noise. It's not a particularly unpleasant noise. It's a fan noise and air noise

 So you could see the duct right here. And that duct is a large diameter hose that's made of a thin plastic. And because it's made of that thin plastic, because it's not insulated, and because it carries hot exhaust air out of the unit and through the window bracket out to the outdoors, it radiates heat back into the room quite readily. And the new standard takes into account that heat that's added back into the room
