Kobe’s are very overrated right now. When the Kobe 8 and 9 were new I played in both of them and they were great performers, but there definitely are shoes on the market right now that are as good if not better and far more reasonably priced. For example, the KD14, KD15 (if no heel slippage), Li Ning Speed 8 Premium, and Curry 9 are all shoes that I have that are as good if not better than Kobe 8s and 9s which from what I hear are two of the best kobes.

Li Ning Speed 8 Premium - Read and watched that these are mostly catered towards guards, but I was interested in the lock down and support. I just didn't know how well they would deal with a lot of jumping.

Definitely go with an Asian brand if you strictly play outdoors. I would highly recommend the li Ning speed 8 premium. Overall fantastic shoe both indoor and outdoor. You can find them on Amazon or on Ali express with coupons for around $100 USD.

Since you play outdoor, I’d recommend one of two very durable shoes: the jordan zoom separate or the li ning speed 8 premium (can get them on amazon) Both have really great durability and are awesome guard shoes with responsive but comfortable cushioning. They both are pretty light on foot and play fantastic overall, especially for a quicker shifty guard playstyle.

After a bit of a wait, my Li Ning D Lo Ice pair came from AliExpress. Pretty good experience there with these and a pair of Speed 8 Premium that came super fast (one warning, packaging is bad so the box won't arrive in good shape).
