The Logitech Ergo M575 Wireless Trackball Mouse is the best trackball mouse we tested. This mouse performed very well in most every metric, but especially in ergonomics. Trackball mice use a ball to move the cursor around the screen rather than requiring you to move your arm. This mouse style has gained popularity in recent years, and we think Logitech nailed the design with this one. It has some of the best button placement on any mouse we tested, too. The scroll wheel is easy to reach, especially compared to some other less traditionally shaped mice. We found the forward and back buttons are placed in a much better spot than on some mice, too. We occasionally accidentally bump these forward and back buttons, often found right next to the thumb grip spot. However, on this mouse, the forward and back buttons are on top, next to the left click button. We found this spot to be much more convenient since we aren't ever inconveniently hitting the back button when we're in the middle of an important task. 
The Ergo M575 Wireless Trackball Mouse is one of the bulkiest mice we tested here. However, this is a common tradeoff: the more ergonomic a mouse is, the less portable it is going to be. Also, we would love to see a sensitivity adjustment for the trackball built into this mouse. But you can adjust the sensitivity with your computer, so that's certainly not a deal breaker.  The learning curve for using this sort of mouse is pretty minimal, especially if you've played games on console and use a joystick to move the in game cursor.  I have a couple of personal issues with this mouse. The ergonomics for me are not that optimal as: my hands are big and I prefer a more vertical tilt. The mouse would feel great for me if the tilt was slightly more aggressive and my hand (which is slightly above average) hangs off the side of the mouse

First track ball mouse and I love it

 A lot of times when I hit this first mouse, the first click on the left mouse button, which is something that on Windows you do all the time, and so a lot of times when I hit it, instead of clicking once, it clicks twice, and after some product review going through the Amazon pages and some of the Logitech pages and things, I found out that that is actually something that happens a lot with that particular mouse. That particular trackball is the micro switch underneath that left button goes bad over time and it either stops working altogether or it starts double clicking, and so I needed to find a new one. I tried a regular mouse that was hooked up through Bluetooth to my keyboard and I found out that it was too small for my hand, so if you can see on this one, even this is a little bit small, but it's right about the size of my hand. The mouse that I got to replace it initially was much too small, so it only took up like maybe two-thirds of my hand or something

Super comfortable mouse, love it

 And when I mentioned earlier, this has got a nice weight. It really is very, very weighty and that's important with a trackball because you want it to remain in the right position on your desk. We've got a little tiny LED light here, the Logi branding. We've got a couple of additional buttons here which are very quiet and soft touch

 You can see the little trackball underneath as well. The on off switch, the button for switching between the unifying receiver and USB. And when I mentioned earlier, this has got a nice weight. It really is very, very weighty and that's important with a trackball because you want it to remain in the right position on your desk
