If the price tag is a tad too steep, check out the Logitech Folio Touch. It only works with the 11 inch iPad Pro, but it's much cheaper and has many of the same features as the Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad 2021, like a trackpad for gesture support. It uses the Apple Smart Connector feature to connect with and draw power from the iPad, meaning you don't have to worry about charging it separately. The row of dedicated media keys allows you to skip songs or change the volume without going directly into a media app on your iPad, so you won't have to disrupt your workflow to skip that song you can't stand. Unfortunately, while it does have white backlighting, it doesn't get as bright as the Apple, and the keys aren't individually lit. Also, its typing quality is only okay, and its small size means your fingers may feel more fatigued after long sessions.

If you want a keyboard designed specifically for an iPad Pro, the Apple keyboard is a surefire bet. If you'd prefer to spend less money and you don't mind compromising a bit on the performance, check out the Logitech.

 I was unable to get through to Logitech, so I do not understand why this is the case. It is advertised as a new product, so I am stymied as to why the items have been defaced/altered, and I am concerned that I will not be able to have the warrantee honored if I have problems moving forward. Is this a refurbished or factory second? It is sold by the “Logitech Store” through Amazon, so it should be legit.  I sent the second one back and bought the dark grey version hoping for an unused item

The third one had the Serial Number intact, but it was obviously also a return because the small plastic pouch that was located on the back inside of the product box in my first two purchases was opened and the paper info was carelessly laying on top of the keyboard and not neatly folded within the pouch. I was under the impression from the listing that this was a Logitech store, but from the return info I see the store is called Olive Branch

 I preferred the sand color because the keys are easier to read without backlighting, but am keeping the grey because—at last—I have a SN to register.  I am happy with its performance so far, and have gotten accustomed to its unique magnetic system and find it more adaptable than my old Apple Folio type keyboard. I especially appreciate that this surrounds the iPad and protects the corners.  The combo adds a substantial amount of weight, that paired with the thickness makes this less compelling’ 6. Location of the trackpad makes for many unintended trackpad “clicks”  It’s a shame. Clearly there has been a lot of effort that went into designing something that matches customer needs, but sadly the execution is off on nearly every part of the case that makes this a compelling purchase. The product was received in good condition, reason I gave 3 stars is that was a bit problematic to put in the case, did not connect automatically, that did not bring a cable to charge it, this was a C connector. I was looking to buy a mini laptop for travel, but the prices were about over $400 and many of this product were from not popular brands, questionable to some extend. Since, I have already have iPad Pro, I decided going this route was a better way, instead of shelling out hundreds of dollars for a laptop and the extremely overprice Apple keyboard. For the price is good to use and did break the bank, and got my laptop for traveling purpose

 It offers full coverage, which means side and drop protection. However, if I want to hold the iPad without the case (which, given the weight of the case, is fairly often) it takes effort to remove it, unlike the Apple keyboard which is just held on magnetically.  Logitech has taken its design cues from the Microsoft Surface, with a stand that folds out from the back of the case. In contradistinction to the Apple keyboard, this both offers the advantage of infinitely adjustable viewing angles and lap use

 Not terribly convenient.  The Folio Touch provides protection via a flap, so I can conveniently leave my pencil on top of the iPad. The one drawback here is that the flap only engages when the case is closed, so that if, for example, I’m holding my iPad vertically my hand rests directly on the pencil and can tend to pull it off.  Summary  Despite some shortcomings, the Logitech Folio Touch has a lot going for it

 However, the hinge mechanism is quite stiff and requires two hands to manipulate.  Physically, I’m very impressed with the build quality. The cloth-like cover material, in addition to being very stylish, and despite apparent susceptibility to some scuffing, hides dirt and other marks well, and is much more durable than the silicone-whatever material the Apple keyboard uses, which wrinkles and flakes within months.  The Keyboard  The typing quality is also quite good, though the keys are just a wee bit too stiff for my typing style — I find I have to hit them heavier than is my wont, which slows me down somewhat

 - It’s expensive. Sure, cheaper than Magic Keyboard, but $200 for a keyboard case is kinda nuts, right?  Overall I feel it’s worth a 4.5-star review. If money isn’t an issue, go for it, it’s a very solid keyboard case with few design flaws, and I think it’s as good (or better) than the Apple Magic Keyboard

 It’s nice to have this added layer of screen protection.  *** DISLIKES *** - As someone who uses iPhone/iPad but Windows laptops/desktops, getting used to the keyboard layout will take some time. I use the CTRL key a lot while typing (CTRL+Backspace to delete entire words, for example). On this keyboard the Emoji key is where I’d expect the CTRL key to be (bottom left corner)

This review is for the Logitech Combo Touch iPad Pro 11” purchased in June 2021 for $199.99.  I’m always on the lookout for a good keyboard/trackpad combo for my iPad Pro that isn’t the $300 Apple Magic Keyboard. Sadly, there aren’t many options out there that have a trackpad that’s capable of 3-finger gestures

New Trackpad Update for the Combo Touch

 It is heavy, bulky but worth it IMO for keyboard experience.  Edit after 3 days:  I’ll keep it.  Major Pro: Keyboard is fantastic compared to Apple; soft press, quieter, and enjoyable to type on. Major Con: using the volume buttons or trying to turn off the iPad with this case is difficult because of the protective edge

 *Material on outside is similar to Apple but looks like it will last longer. *It provides real edge protection and won’t slip out of the case, neither of which the Apple case does. *Prop up screen by tilting in which is far more convenient than more expensive Logitech cases which require folding out a stand. *Price @~$100 it’s a steal compared to trackpad Logitech versions or ridiculously priced Apple iPad Pro cases

  Bottom line is that I like it and will keep it. It’s tedious to do the research so here is my list of pros and cons in case it’s of help to you:  Pros: *keyboard is quieter/softer than Apple and light is a big plus. *Material on outside is similar to Apple but looks like it will last longer. *It provides real edge protection and won’t slip out of the case, neither of which the Apple case does

  Major Pro: Keyboard is fantastic compared to Apple; soft press, quieter, and enjoyable to type on. Major Con: using the volume buttons or trying to turn off the iPad with this case is difficult because of the protective edge. I guess they need it to provide protection but it’s very difficult to use. I ordered this for my 11” iPad Pro in both the version with and without the trackpad

Update to: Very Good but wish more thought had gone into….

 Update - Its been more than six months since I first purchased this and it still looks new and works like the day I got it. All the keys work, the backlight seems to work forever. I’ve probably only charged it 3 times over the entire period. It uses very little battery

 Okay, so what don’t I like about the case/keyboard? It’s heavy and its wide. The iPad Pro is already thick so this case makes it much thicker and that is really the only thing I can say about it that’s negative. It’s every thing I hoped it would be and its lasting a long time without falling apart like the first product I mentioned. This is a good choice if you don’t mind a little extra weight but you also get a very protective case and keyboard

 Much better than the clickity keys on the Apple model. The case itself seems to be well made and its sturdy yet still soft so you can carry it around. My only concern is will the material last and will it be free of scratches. Right now it looks very professional
