Logitech Combo Touch for 11-inch iPad Pro vs Logitech Folio Touch

I was unable to get through to Logitech, so I do not understand why this is the case. It is advertised as a new product, so I am stymied as to why the items have been defaced/altered, and I am concerned that I will not be able to have the warrantee honored if I have problems moving forward. Is this a refurbished or factory second? It is sold by the “Logitech Store” through Amazon, so it should be legit. I sent the second one back and bought the dark grey version hoping for an unused item

I used to type on my iPad on a lap desk while on the couch, but I can't do that anymore. My iPad used to be my "smaller" device for when I didn't want to type on my MacBook Pro, but now it has an even bigger footprint.

There is one thing I would like to change and one thing I am unhappy about that could use improvement. I would like to modify the keyboard to have an on-off switch. The keyboard automatically pairs to the iPad when set up in the vertices position. It would be nice to be able to turn it on or off as needed

*Material on outside is similar to Apple but looks like it will last longer. *It provides real edge protection and won’t slip out of the case, neither of which the Apple case does. *Prop up screen by tilting in which is far more convenient than more expensive Logitech cases which require folding out a stand. *Price @~$100 it’s a steal compared to trackpad Logitech versions or ridiculously priced Apple iPad Pro cases

I purchased this keyboard/case combo to get the best of both worlds when traveling with my iPad Pro. The case feels well built. I don’t know much about the durability of the material used, but it seems solid. I also like how the keyboard snaps on to the case - it’s satisfying

However, the hinge mechanism is quite stiff and requires two hands to manipulate. Physically, I’m very impressed with the build quality. The cloth-like cover material, in addition to being very stylish, and despite apparent susceptibility to some scuffing, hides dirt and other marks well, and is much more durable than the silicone-whatever material the Apple keyboard uses, which wrinkles and flakes within months. The Keyboard The typing quality is also quite good, though the keys are just a wee bit too stiff for my typing style — I find I have to hit them heavier than is my wont, which slows me down somewhat

You might actually prefer Logitech’s design, as well. It’s not as sleek as the Magic Keyboard, but the case will offer better protection for the iPad, the detachability and kickstand offers an extra degree of versatility, and the keyboard has a useful function row. The combo adds a substantial amount of weight, that paired with the thickness makes this less compelling’ 6. Location of the trackpad makes for many unintended trackpad “clicks” It’s a shame. Clearly there has been a lot of effort that went into designing something that matches customer needs, but sadly the execution is off on nearly every part of the case that makes this a compelling purchase. Ultimately its a paradox: the case is too heavy, yet still flimsy

I use the CTRL key a lot while typing (CTRL+Backspace to delete entire words, for example). On this keyboard the Emoji key is where I’d expect the CTRL key to be (bottom left corner)

Keyboard adds substantial thickness 2. Kickstand back is flimsy, not as sturdy as a Surface tablet 3. The keyboard is fantastic, but oddly, the positioning of the keys and trackpad I find that I am barely on the palm rests 4. Space for the pencil is nice to have, but it is just a cutout and makes accessing the pencil both difficult as well as easy for the pencil to be lost/fall off 5

Okay, so what don’t I like about the case/keyboard? It’s heavy and its wide. The iPad Pro is already thick so this case makes it much thicker and that is really the only thing I can say about it that’s negative. It’s every thing I hoped it would be and its lasting a long time without falling apart like the first product I mentioned. This is a good choice if you don’t mind a little extra weight but you also get a very protective case and keyboard
