Logitech G923 Trueforce Sim Racing Wheel Review

 They sell this in a xbox and playstation variant. The only difference between them is the labels on the buttons..

A good wheel but...

 I actually went out and paid 423 dollars for it after tax. If you're interested links to this product are in the video description, along with an unboxing video, i made of it, as i usually do, with all my reviews, i'll start off with its positives, move on to its negatives and end off with my final thoughts and recommendations And if you just want to skip around time, stamps are in the video description. Let'S start off with what i believe is this product's main and significant improvement. The petals, although they look exactly like the previous generations, the brake pedal features a new spring which seriously changes the feel of the main game when braking the resistance feels progressively heavier when pushing it down

 The price point of the g923 makes it very much a mid-entry product which, at this price point competes against thrustmaster's belt-driven wheels and the force feedback leaves a lot to be desired so much so that when i first started driving around in the southern expedition, i could Have sworn that the force feedback was at like 50 and when i went to play around with it in the settings, to my surprise, it was maxed out, even after changing everything possible to exert the maximum force out of this wheel. I could still fling it around with one finger without a problem simply put at 400. I expected a significant improvement in the force feedback, which i personally do not believe is here. I will point out that this wheel did seem to react a little bit quicker compared to the previous model, which is great for those who aren't too drifting, [ Music ], the true force technology, i said good things about earlier - is cool

 At least at this very moment, the biggest significant upgrade in my opinion is on the pedals. They felt a lot better than i expected and, as i already mentioned, they seem to very closely mimic the feel of my 200 lots of pedals. Honestly, if logitech decided to sell these separately for around 100, i would reckon they would become a very popular option among low budget rigs, [ Music, ] anyways.  This time logitech is offering their wheel under the same banner, the logitech g923. Well last generation you'd have to pick up the logitech g29 for the playstation 4 and the logitech g920 for the xbox. This time, both of them are using the logitech g923 flavor. While there are two versions for it, one for the xbox and one for the playstation they're, essentially exactly the same wheel, despite the compatibility differences, this wheel was provided by logitech for review

 As for conclusions of conclusions, it's improved from the last generation, it has a better drive, the pedals are better than last generation, so great wheel set bad price in 2020, and that's it guys, i hope you've enjoyed the video. Is it more immersive? Can you more easily feel when you're about to lose traction and does this help justify the logitech, g923s, 350, pound or 400 us dollar price tag? Well, that's what i'll find out in this video, because i have both the g920 and g923 at my disposal. What is true force ben? Well, it's a force feedback system. That'S said to be more precise, you know those moments when you feel a car about to lose traction

 The g923 works out as one of the better budget. Sim racing steering wheels and a worthwhile way to make your racing games more immersive and rewarding it's just that. Karoni has pushed logitech prices up into decent thrustmaster steering wheel territory, which makes them a tougher sell. A belt driven, and therefore smoother t300, for instance, is about the same price as the g923

 Is it just a gimmick, then? Ah, no, because the link between the two sensations helps you work out. Entry speeds into a corner when you will need to counter steer how grippy these surface below you is, and a whole lot more things that can make you faster and more in control, not only that. It also hides the grainier feel of a gear based steering wheel system which, to be fair, is most noticeable. If you turn the wheel when not playing a game, but not so bad the rest of the time

Logitech G923 REVIEW: What is TrueForce and is it good?

 Driving in ATS, the wheel delivers a feel for actually driving and the True Force inertia and back spin is truly fun to experience. I will eventually look at other games (Iracing, ect.) So to sum up, a great wheel for newer folks to sim driving and a great upgrade to those using the earlier versions of the wheel.

A Great Entry Level Wheel

 The pedals feel good out of the box but you might need to adjust the tension for the break as it is a bit stiff. On a tile floor underneath my desk the pedals seem to stick well with the rubber feet from heavy use but you may need to place on a rubber mat if you are overly aggressive. The new RPM idicator is great for supported games. I would give this purchase a 9/10 just because they should have included even more rubber feet on the pedals

Best Plug and Play Steering Wheel sub $500

 Hint, you have to turn off the xbox controller, in certain games, in order to use the wheel. On PC I had to open the Logitech app first, on certain games, to use the wheel. Also discovered that setting the force feedback too high is bad for the machine, so don’t over do it. Well worth it if you’re on a budget
