 Moreover, another thing the speaker system has going for is the wide array of tasks that it can be used for foremost. It can obviously be used on a desktop computer system like i have here, but because of how loud it is, you could easily use it for a tv system or even connect it to your phone and logitech does offer a bluetooth system that will allow you to Connect it to pretty much anything wirelessly through the use of bluetooth. All this is great, but the sound quality is what really matters, and this does not let down in regard to sound, as i think it sounds absolutely amazing, with pretty much any song you play, and i really like the ability to turn up the volume and the Bass levels just with the knobs that are on top of your desk, so it's very easy to do at any given time. However, it's important to note that it does come with pretty strong bass and you can turn it way up something that some people might like or others might not like

 However, fortunately, the majority of these issues are all, in my opinion, related to the relatively low price of the speaker system and, as such, i think it warrants justification to the corners that logitech had to cut in order to achieve this nice budget-friendly price tag. So, in conclusion, despite the relatively low quality, i still would strongly recommend investing in the speaker system if it's within your budget and you're, looking for anything from a tv setup to just casually listening to music on your phone in your room, because it will take your Listening experience to the next level, in my personal opinion, thank you for watching and please do consider subscribing it's only one percent of the people who watch my videos are subscribed and as a small content creator any and all support really does help. When i started looking into investing in a desktop computer, i knew that i would have to switch over to a desktop pair of speakers to edit videos with and enjoy music too. The 16-inch macbook pro is known for its insane speaker quality and, with that being my primary desktop laptop, i knew that i wouldn't have to buy any set of speakers for my desktop setup or even my mobile setup, as the built-in speakers on the laptop obviously go With me, wherever my computer goes, however, with me recently investing in the m1 mac mini this changed as i needed an upgraded speaker system, something i was already looking into as i really enjoy music, and i wanted to see what it was like to enjoy music with A little bit of a higher quality system, so naturally, when i was looking on amazon, i realized just how complicated buying speakers can be in 2021 or for me at least, and the speaker setup. In order to do this i'll break this video down into a series of pros and cons and then at the end ultimately explain to you whether or not i think the speaker system is still worth investing in and the speaker system has a ton going for it

Logitech Z623 Long Term Review | Worth It?

 \- Headset: Cooler Master MH751 (Rebranded Takstar + mic) connected to Headphone Output + Mic. STX offers me a great music quality + connecting both speakers and headset to it, and change between them just with software.

\- Audio card: Asus Xonar STX + Unixonar Drivers. \- Speakers: Logitech Z623 connected to RCA output of STX. \- Headset: Cooler Master MH751 (Rebranded Takstar + mic) connected to Headphone Output + Mic. STX offers me a great music quality + connecting both speakers and headset to it, and change between them just with software

for hard of hearing I was trying to get speakers that work for my husband who is hearing challenged and myself who can hear his phone conversations from the other room!  First the pros - the sound is amazing and great for both our ranges  Now the cons - the cables - only long enough to be 2' from the TV - hooking up a 3rd speaker wire to the port in the speaker for either speaker or headset doesn't have any sound. And hooking up 3.5 external 3rd speaker it is only feedback & no TV sound, so neither of those function as advertised - being at the TV the only way I got the TV remote to have any volume control I had to connect the woofer to the TV via 3.5mm wire

 Let's get it. Oh Yeah, ladies and gentlemen, this is what I refer to as a Big heavy box anytime. I have to back the camera up Where we don't have a nice top-down view Yeah, that's a big box. But anyway Logitech Z6 23 400 watt THX nice for one selling PC speaker and A couple of other languages that I cannot read

 If you're going to use a proprietary Connector and Hard wire that sucker to the speaker You need to have an extension cable. There is no excuse for that Truthfully, there's no excuse for using this in the year 2018 But I digress as we move on to con number five the subwoofer itself Which is quite heavy obviously, I'm going to have a hard time getting this in frame, but The subwoofer itself is a sealed box Yes, there are screws on the back where the connection ports are but the box itself is sealed up now here's why this is a con and Really it only applies to those baseheads out there who are handy with a soldering iron and Who will do their own speaker repair if this subwoofer ever goes out if the amp goes out? You're not going to be able to repair it easily I mean you would pretty much have to destroy the speaker box in order to get to the internal workings that is a con in my book simply because While not everyone knows how to recone a subwoofer Some people do and if you know how to recone a subwoofer you might want to You're not going to be able to do it easily with this I mean you'd have to destroy the box Do the repair and then put the sub into another enclosure price point price point price point These speakers retail on Amazon for $100 $100 That is a steal of a deal when you consider The audio quality and the amount of bass that these speakers can produce I mean at that price that's almost enough to make me forgive Logitech for using a proprietary cable that is hardwired to the speaker Keyword there almost I can almost forgive them for that the bottom line for the Logitech Z623 2.1 speaker set I give it a rock-solid 8 out of 10 all things considered 100 plus the outrageously low price Rock-solid 8 out of 10. I highly recommend these speakers

 Now this pisses me off Look at this Look at that Do you know what this is guys? Do you know what that looks like? That looks like a VGA cable now some of you young ins won't know what that is But once upon a time before the glories of high-definition Cables like this were used to connect large heavy bulbous monitors to computers This was all we had back in the day and I was shocked and stunned to see this type of connector on A brand new set of speakers in the year 2018 I was shocked and stunned and then I was downright pissed I was downright pissed because you cannot get a cable extension for this now I reached out to Logitech directly I called their customer service line and after sitting on hold for about 15 minutes a nice guy Explained that well Yes, it looks like a VGA cable. However, the pins are wired Differently, so it's not exactly a VGA cable IE a VGA cable extension will not work I even went so far as to ask the gentleman if I could purchase an extension cable from Logitech And I was told that Logitech does not make an extension cable for this This is a big Huge problem in my opinion.  Millimeter cable to connect it to your computer. A big beefy subwoofer, I Mean, look at that It's a big beefy subwoofer A big beefy subwoofer. I mean look at that It's hard for you guys to see it at this angle, but it is branded Logitech right inside You have the main controller speaker which is branded THX Nice design, you have a power button, a volume knob, a bass knob And You have a headphone and aux jack on the side. That's nice

  The bad: The satellites do not do the midrange playback justice, since the sound isn't as broad and sounds as if they are cross wired. It makes me feel like I have water in my ears and I need to stretch my ears to get the water out.

  The good: Affordable price for what you get. Highs are exceptional, the bass is good and loud, although more on the punchy side; it lacks some body depth.  The bad: The satellites do not do the midrange playback justice, since the sound isn't as broad and sounds as if they are cross wired.  The satellite speakers sounded more like a laptop speaker. And when I do the Z4 it sounded like the person was in my office.  The good: Affordable price for what you get. Highs are exceptional, the bass is good and loud, although more on the punchy side; it lacks some body depth

Not anywhere as good as the Logitech Z4

 The two satellite speakers came together with the subwoofer to create what I can only describe as an amazing sound quality. You can adjust the bass level with the physical knob on one of the speakers, something I really appreciate, as it means if a bass heavy song comes on and I want to turn it down, I don't have to go into the settings of my computer. The knob is right there within reach. Overall, for the money I have spent, I am really happy with just how well these speakers have performed and the functionality department

 Starting with its quality, I've never spent more than 50 US dollars on speakers, so this was a pretty big jump for me in every regard. The box these came in was surprisingly heavy, so I was curious as to the materials used to build these speakers, and the two smaller satellite speakers' bodies are made from some kind of polymer, while the grill on the front is made from a thick-feeling metal. Moreover, the knob you control the power, volume, and bass level at is also made from polymer. At this price point, I would have hoped to see the volume knobs made from a more premium material

 And finally, their value. I feel this department will obviously vary widely from person to person, as some people, up until recently, myself included, would be perfectly happy with the 50 US dollar options Amazon has to offer. However, for those of you who are looking to bring your music listening experience to the next level with a speaker system that is built to last, I feel the Logitech Z623 is a really solid value coming in at 129 US dollars. In conclusion, thanks to its intuitive functionality, impressive sound quality, great durability, and of course, solid value, I would recommend investing in the speaker setup

After a lot of research and reading some reviews, I decided to go ahead and spend the 120 US dollars on the speakers. In the most recent desk set up tour video I made I mentioned how I planned replacing the old Bose speaker I had been using. A few days after filming that the speaker broke, and because of the way in which my desk is set up using the built in speakers on my Mac, that are really good, is impractical because it is closed and as such the sound quality is just subpar. So after a few days of looking for a new, budget friendly speaker system I cam across the Logitech Z623. After a lot of research and reading some reviews I decided to ahead and spend the 120 US dollars on the speakers set. Well done. Even put research in the stereo, that logitech THX Z623 is the best you can get for the money, IMO.

After a year of searching, I found a house to build my home gym in

 The speakers, however. Crap, completely worthless. Crackless and pops with Volume Knob above 50%. I think this has something to do with bass in the speakers also

 I have Logitech X530's from 10+ years ago and make this thing look so cheap and pathetic. Almost makes ya wonder if Logitech is going cheap these days. Now on a positive note. Whilst the Woofer was alive, this thing could rattle window panes no problem and is decent sound quality

 Ya get what ya pay for. Still not sure If I want to make a second claim and just get my $ back.

 Because the X 530's sound flawless at full volume whilst having no bass in the speakers themselves. Now I'm no mastermind with all this sound stuff, but I can, and anyone else with a little common sense, can hook up basic 2.1 speakers the right way. My final input? Spend the extra $ and just get yourself something a little less cheap

My main gripe, and this will actually affect a lot of people in similar situations. As myself. Due to the physical environment of the speakers, where you're placing them is extending the wire of the right channel, it is not easy can't use
