Love letter

Love Letter could be interesting to play if (I'm going to break the post a bit) instead of trying to actively loose, you change the rule of "At the end of the round, highest card wins" to lowest card. You'd need to find ways to get rid of people's Guards. Also, instead of "Least points wins", I think another fun way to change the pace a bit (in games in general) would be "Everyone wins, except the player in second position".

A more complex (and IMO better) version of Love Letter by the same designer, it has multiple different sets of cards that all feel substantially different, with some being more elimination-oriented and some being more investigation-oriented. The initiative-based investigation phase and the dynamics of the ruins really amp up the deduction element of the game.

it did seem easier to be knocked out the round. While Love Letter works well at three players I do wonder if the added chaos for Lovecraft Letter is better suited for higher player counts. I was really impressed by the production: tall, thick cards with good art and matching sleeves, weighty poker chips, a good insert and a magnetic clasped box - very premium feel. I found the game very thematic too, possibly more so than the normal game.
