 So it's not super comfortable. If you're sitting on like uneven or like bumpy grounds so just something to keep in mind um when i used it for yoga, it was fine because i had my mat on top, but just using it for a picnic can be kind of uncomfortable. So we have the little stitching here, which this is really handy, because it's basically a guide to tell you how to fold it back up to get it back into the little pouch which the guide helps. But it's still not like that easy

Matador Pocket Blanket 3.0 Review (1 Month of Use)

\-Well made as expected from Matador, YKK zips with weather sealing, etc. Good subdued look suitable for urban travel. Stitching looked sound in my investigations (my GF is a designer in fashion and I had her verify this).

I used this pack on a couple long weekend trips with my family. When we travel, we usually use a duffel bag with packing crates so I was excited to try the Seg42 with its built in compartments.

I didn't trust my laptop in the designated laptop space because it isn't well padded. Tossing the bag around like a duffel would probably damage anything stored in that sleeve. The bag also doesn't have external pockets for a water bottle.

Versatile travel pack

 Even more and wear it cross body. The straps themselves feel pretty comfortable. Obviously, there's no padding just to keep just to make sure that it's packable, because this duffel does pack into itself and then the third way is just by holding on by these handles. There is a snap fastener here as well, so we like that little bit of inclusion and uh that definitely helps again these just these feel a lot more robust than what matador has come out with in the past

 So we really appreciate that and it hasn't compromised on packability either. We have two of these g hooks on the sides and those can be undone to kind of give yourself a little extra space in the duffel uh when they are, if you have it completely jammed. You'Ll want to you know, probably just unbuckle these and then um. Additionally, it just keeps the strap in a better uh spot uh to carry um so a little bit it kind of anchors the strap up higher on the duffel

 Un kind of compress it and then there you go just a big area there, not much else going on in the exterior of the duffel um. You know just very simple overall and again just feels a lot better than what we've had they've had in the past and they also are using more high quality materials. So we have these ykk zippers here that are a lot more durable than the previous zipper brands chosen, at least from our experience and then inside. I guess i just wanted to to say that there are these

I know you know it definitely seems like it maybe adds a little durability just because, if you've got this kind of thicker strap there versus this thinner material, but that is there on the inside

Matador On-Grid Packable Duffle Review (Initial Thoughts)

I use the matador SEG42 as I also prefer longer than wider. Being not so rigid makes it easy to fit ok any carry-on box size thingy on the airport you try. I usually just put a pair of shoes on the “bucket” side and separate the clothes on the other compartments.

I've been looking to buy a bag for my first backpacking trip late next year (around 1 month in length). 

I've seen many recommendations online for bags like the Fairview 40L. A good sized bag which fits as a carry-on for most planes. However, these bags are all quite small and stocky, and look a bit awkward on the back (IMO). 

I grew up bushwalking and camping, and so I really like longer bags which are thinner. I then decided to change my search to looking for bags that are longer, but they are really hard to find! As expected, most of these bags are angled towards those who are camping, and so they are the kind of bags that don't open all the way and you can't get stuff out easily. I'm also worried about the bag fitting carry on requirements for planes/trains etc. Having it be a smaller litre size than around 40L doesn't bother me. 

I was wondering if any of you know a bag which is long and thin, but fits the carry-on requirements for most planes? Please let me know if it doesn't exist and I'm wasting my time lol.

Onebag that isn't bulky

 The laptop pocket is a nice sleeve compartment, but doesn’t provide any extra protection for it, so remember that when using it. The pocket organization on the front is kinda weird in “duffle” mode (with the storage segments stowed away) since the integrated storage segments compress down. In this manner, I wish the segments were completely removable.

 So kicking it off here. Let's start with the harness system on the back. Now, these straps themselves. You can see that there is kind of like this mesh honeycomb pattern for added air flow

 so it'll tell you right up here on the front which segment that it relates to and how large it is. So segment one here is six liters. If I open that up, I can just get right on on the inside and stick stuff in there with that hypalon zipper pull. And then there is another little hypalon tab here that you can grab onto while you're zipping this thing closed, which is interesting

 We go. Come on buddy. All right there we go. So the two, uh, the zippered area up here

 There's a, you know, decent amount of sponginess, but there's not a ton of thickness and density to this foam here either. Little hypalon attachment points up here and you got a sternum strap here with a buckle. This is a Woojin hardware and then you can just adjust it by taking this clip off of that rail. a little Matador logo down here at the bottom, and then Matador up here

I am a man of 70,1 inch and looking for a only one travel bag cabin size limit for digital nomading all around the world.So the capacity is max 45 liters. Need a 15 inch Macbook pocket, a solid bag, a bootle of water accessible, lockable zip, hip belt, breathable back, deperlant, very light when empty and sober and nice design which is city and not mountain style and can be pro if needed. Ok for expensive bag.

The challenger to beat is the Osprey Farpoint 40.Light : 3.17 lb, fit cabin, comfy, lockable BUT computer outside. So dont know how dangerous it is for choc more than thief...

Saw online **Osprey porter 45**, light also 3 lbs. 5 oz. but dont know the real differences... It seems more complexe for fast access to outside pocket... What you think ?

A bag just better than the Osprey Fairpoint 40L ?

Compression straps around front of bag for easy access to coat/jacket or in my case helmet or skateboard.

I really want to like this bag, but had to return it day I received it because my laptop would not fit in the so called easy externally accessible laptop sleeve.  What's point of laptop sleeve if laptop won't fit!?!?!

 These also all have some nice coating to help keep water out. One thing that I did notice about the zippers, however, is that they don't seem to be YKK. I wasn't able to find any branding on them, but they've worked well for the most part, they've been very smooth and they feel pretty durable. I did run into a small issue with one of the zippers on the back that I'll talk about more in a little bit, but for the most part, I've been impressed with the build quality of the bag, and it feels like it's gon na be useful

 So it's just a very versatile and weather resistant bag that was going to come in on a little bit of a higher price range. But if you're looking for something with a similar kind of organizational layout and space, that's gon na offer a little bit more comfort. As far as the overall carry, then that's gon na be a great option to check out the next thing this made me think of is the standard luggage code travel backpack, which is a really solid and versatile, larger size carry-on bag that is very comfortable to wear It has a great organizational layout, a solid, build Claudie, and it comes in at a very similar price point to this. I really like that that bag has some expandability as well, and you can also tuck the straps away and use it as a shoulder bag
