I've had this for 15min so here it goes:  Good: size, feel, ease of connection and a great calculator with conversions.  Bad: no equal sign to write formulas in excel, which is how most people are going to use it. Also, the most glaring error, which boggles my mind, is that there isn't any directional arrows to move around a spreadsheet. All they would have had to do is add a shift key and mark the 8,2,4,6 with arrows

So, the looks, feel and quality build is quite superb for this windows number pad and wanted to have some diversity of accessories with a MacBook; the keypad pairs, then I have to skip this whole mumbo jumbo alert saying keyboard won't be accessible to determine the keyboard and to press the left and right shift keys, so I quit but the keypad is still connected.

I would keep this; if I had a PC laptop

This is the perfect pair for the Microsoft Designer Compact Keyboard; which is itself a compact and updated version of the completely underappreciated and underrepresented Microsoft Surface Keyboard (not to be confused with the Surface Type Covers). The key feel is soft touch, with a snappy actuation point and very minimal travel. Bottoming out is not painful, however, and the keysound is relatively quiet. These are all great things if you're looking for a comfortable yet quick typing experience with low noise

 At this point, it should really take the cue from the MS Surface Keyboard and run AAA's or have an internal pack chargeable via USB.  That minor nitpick (battery) is really the only one. This is lightweight and easy to pack, looks good, functions perfectly, and if you love scissor keys, there's not much like it with regards to build quality.

 This seems to be from having to switch applications or open something like the start menu while working in a program. Diligence with reselecting the "main" window for said program when returning to work (when the program utilizes multiple windows) seems to restore the programming.

This has been a winner so far. Size, shape and weight are good. The buttons feel nice considering it's such a thin gadget. Connection has been solid and range is good (for my work I walk around with it at times

  My only complaint about this, is that it does sit practically flat on the desk. If I could angle it to be similar to my keyboard, I would have given this 5 stars.

Being a Microsoft product, you expect high quality. This does not disappoint. While it is just plastic, it feels nice and functions exceptionally well. I've used it for a bit now and have never had an issue with it
