Dutch Bushcraft Knives

 That gives you a lot of safety, a lot of control and yeah. The thicker blade I mean, you know they took a basic Mora knife and gave it a thicker, stronger blade and a larger, more secure handle all right and there's really not much more to say. You know, I think, the usage of this knife, you know, speaks for itself and I think if you get it through experience, you're gon na love the knife. So basically it's an awesome knife highly recommended

 Now the handle are 2 different materials on the handle, this material right here, the black and here basically it feels like hard plastic and then this overmold right here it it feels like santoprene, but it probably isn't basically the feel of this. It feels like a thin layer of hard rubber, but whatever it is, you know they don't even say what it is. It gives an excellent grip. This is the sheath that the knife comes with it's a hard plastic, sheath, very lightweight, and then I've clicks in it does hold it securely and it is also silent

 I love Scandinavian knives. Now all of these dives have the traditional Scandinavian grind, and if you want just a quick guide, martini knives are made in Finland. The Helen Ives are made in Norway and the more knives are made in Sweden. I think that this more robust might be one of the best one of the best Mora knives you can get, especially for the price I mean less than seventeen dollars

 You know, via its sheath, this part right here, matches with that part right there, which is found on many other Moorish sheets. So you can actually, you know, make an entire survival system different, blades, very nice. That'S the belt clip it's a nice lightweight sheath and you see it as that. Little part to push off with, and here you see a size comparison with all of my scandi knives

I am a big fan of mora knives and when I saw this new design I had to have it. My first thoughts upon receiving the knive were great. The grip and feel for my narrowish fist were perfect, better then all my other moras for hard gripping. The blade is awesome I was really happy with the added width of the blade (not the spine thickness but the height of the blade per say) over my companions and the extra steep tip this width makes

Its actually looks and feels like a more "tactical" knife then my other moras and is up there with the bushcraft black. My companions are often mistaken as kitchen knives to most non knive knowers and this one likely won't

 The molding process on these handles needs to be tweaked. This gap will fill with debris and moisture, contaminating food if used as a kitchen knife and also giving a spot for rust to start if moisture is left inside. The fix is filling the small gap with bees wax or some other non toxic water repellent to block out moisture and debris. Hopfully not all are like this but it looks like they are the more I look at others videos

The Indestructible Knife | Mora Robust

THIS KNIFE IS MY FAVORITE I OWN, out of the box it is smaller wayyy smaller than what I was expecting, its a short and stubby with a good up sweeping blade. Ok of course its not a skookum bushtool, but I actually like it better, and this is why. If the only thing you do is "carving" then i understand the no finger guard, but this knife has an amazing grind and edge that not only you can carve with it but the finger guard makes it more of survival worthy (just a little) being able to stab it in a log or just normal knife usage as i grew up doing is nice not worrying about sliding up and cutting my hand, yes bushcraft grips are a little more uncomfortable but ill take the trade off And the belly of the blade is so nice. Why I gave it 4 stars and i would have gave it less if the knife itself was not so good, is this

 THE SHEATH IS JUNK! Worse then before. The belt clip is so much more flimsy on this than on the older Moras, the retention is slightly better but not really noticeable, I actually cannot bring this knife in the woods anymore because it will not say on my belt. It has fallen off. Ebay has a good kydex sheath that i might purchase

The inexpensive Skookum Bushtool

This is a handy knife I'm not afraid to use. It was also pretty cheap - around $10. Some knives I buy to collect and never use. This is not one of them

-There are some minor blemishes on the blade. If you hold it to the light, you can see a few small "pits".

The handle is grippy. It's made of plastic and I believe it would still have grip even if wet. I have a diving knife - it's similar to that handle.

-I think it would be nice to have a hole in the handle to run a lanyard through it. I might drill my own.

Great little knife. Carbon steel rusts in an instant. Forcing patina on the blade will only temporarily protect it. Patina wears off quickly so back to rust

Because the knife is still excellent and will be an amazing knife if the user is willing to maintain it. Put patina on it and still oil it at the end of the day

 I hope Morakniv can fix the sheath and offer the Robust model in stainless steel. Buy the knife if you need it or just wait for Morakniv to make it in stainless steel and offer better sheath with it.

 The Robust sheath has two problems with it. The knife has to be inserted tilted to the left so that it sits in it properly and the belt clip on the back is kind of weak. I hope Morakniv can fix the sheath and offer the Robust model in stainless steel. Buy the knife if you need it or just wait for Morakniv to make it in stainless steel and offer better sheath with it

 I like the knife, but wish it didn’t have multiple flaws out of the box. I ordered another Mora at the same time, but it hasn’t arrived yet.  I need it for this weekend, so unfortunately I can’t wait out the return/exchange process, so I’m just bummed that something I was looking forward to disappointed.
