It protects you from the sun with 50+ UPF fabric, has a lightweight hood that fits under a helmet, and sports thumbholes you can use no matter how long your arms are. Made of a soft, silky polyester/elastane blend, the Crater Lake is ridiculously stretchy and insanely comfortable. It's thin enough that it's both absurdly lightweight and shockingly breathable without being see-through. It's one of the few shirts we happily wore under the blazing sun without rolling up the sleeves &mdash; and that's saying something. This excellent shirt also features a zipped hip pocket and the option to cinch the bottom closed, like your favorite jacket, which comes in handy for inverted activities like climbing and yoga. So close!

Great Paddling Shirt, poor quality

Did not have pattern on it as pictured-item received was just all solid colored. Still a great fit and product but FYI if anybody else orders

 Also, the draw cord would sit right underneath the hip belt for my hiking pack so I would have to either pull it up or down to keep it from creating a rub spot. If they’re looking for a feminine detail perhaps a gentle scallop or subtle lace detail around the hood opening…? Or a subtle curved hem at the bottom without the drawstring. 

 The fit in the body was pretty good (I’m a 34C in the bust, ordered Med), but wish the sleeves were a little longer. When using the thumb holes I can feel the material pulling across my shoulders when I reach forward. (I have broad shoulders and long arms- The large in the smoky quartz was great in the shoulders and sleeve length but big in the body/chest) Wish the sleeves had a curved hem to cover the backs of hands or finger holes to hold it over the backs of the hands. 

With all that being said this is still one of the best efforts I’ve seen for a sun protection shirt that actually looks somewhat feminine and not just like a piece of athletic gear.

 The smoky quartz was not great with my skin tone. Wish they had more bright/jewel tone colors instead of earth colors. The fit in the body was pretty good (I’m a 34C in the bust, ordered Med), but wish the sleeves were a little longer. Almost perfect...

I was looking for a more comfortable, sporty, breathable sun shirt for hiking than the button-down fishing shirts I usually wear. 

The pros: This shirt is very breathable and the fabric is incredibly soft and light. It is very comfortable. The print is also more subtle in person than in the pictures, which I like.

Very comfy and light, but pilled almost immediately.

This shirt is one of my new favorites. I'm always super careful about sun and love backpacking and hiking. I like to find layers that are soft, lightweight, provide good coverage and are fast drying. This shirt fits those features perfectly!

I am 5'7 and 125ish lbs. The medium had a nice casual fit - not too tight and not too baggy. I chose this over the small due to my long arms and it is the perfect length. 

Feels buttery soft, some sleeve issues

I want to buy more

 Pretty cute color and fit is great for a 5'3" 115 lady. Just don't stand too close next to any cuties after a run because it stanks something fierce. 

Perfect for summer trail running

  Also, the fabric had permanently stretched out in some spots under the backpack's straps. So disappointed because it was perfect in every other way.  It just won't last under a pack.
